Joel Alter, one half of celebrated electronic duo Jonsson & Alter, is a man who has something to say about electronic music. Growing up in between Göteborg's old-school rave parties and acid jazz grooves, he connected strongly with the early drum'n'bass scene, later became an obsessive collector of disco records. His first disco-styled demo got released by a very enthusiastic DJ Hell, while his second demo a couple of years later by a very enthusiastic Richie Hawtin.
