Atlanta-based producer Stranded melts boundaries between post-punk, Midwestern house and trip-hop to vital effect in the latest edition of our #PHANTASYMIX series.

Inspired by a lifelong fascination with dance-music centered cities such as Detroit, Berlin and Manchester, Stranded’s own music sits at odds with the soundtrack of Atlanta, where a sprawling scene is traditionally dominated by hip-hop and rap. Stranded’s stellar #PHANTASYMIX takes in a journey that encompasses both future-facing and roots focused electronic music that easily bridges ideas of rock and electronic music, featuring Killing Joke, Moodymann, Andrea, DJ Krush and Altered Natives.

Our Streaming From Isolation series is now raising donations directly for Black Lives Matter-affiliated causes. Donations to this stream go to NAACP Legal Defence, a US civil rights organisation that fights for racial justice through litigation, advocacy, & public education.

As part of Streaming From Isolation series, @Ballantines has committed a fund in the form of 20 grants to be distributed to community-driven collectives around the world. These grants will be given to each collective to distribute as they feel best to support under threat artists and those most in need within their immediate community. This support is critical over the coming months whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place and impacting many artists’ ability to do what they love and to make a living. Weekly takeover days of Boiler Room’s channels will feature performances and sets programmed by these collectives from isolation. Broadcast to the world from artists’ homes and private spaces, these transmissions are a way to stay connected while apart.
