We played two records each all night, Andrew first then me, until the last half an hour of part two where it's one each. I travelled by train with a kidney infection and without a passport for 13 hours each-way to make this one and I'm glad I did. It was a fantastic night, so thanks to Andrew, Diego, Lele and everyone who was there dancing like a mad thing.

Christian Löfler Boiler Room Berlin DJ Set

Solid Steel (17th October) This week we're delighted to welcome Ben Page from RocketNumberNine to Solid Steel. Following the recent 'Blank Project' album with Neneh Cherry, alongside his brother Tom and produced by Four Tet, we get an exclusive mix of new solo material. In fact so new, the tracks don't even have titles yet! 
He had this to say about his mix;
"For the honour of doing a mix for the legendary Solid Steel I wanted to showcase brand new, unheard solo tracks and to lay them down in a loose, improvised style in keeping with the spirit of RocketNumberNine. As a 14 year old growing up in Chingford, I would listen, courtesy of a friend's older brother, to the sounds of Detroit and Chicago and I think those sounds can be heard in these tracks...along with a good dose of Chingford Tribalism...!!
The setup is the same as for RocketNumberNine, with the addition of  an MPC for sequencing the Nord Wave and V Synth."

Tim Sweeney Boiler Room NYC x Beats in Space 15th Anniversary DJ Set

Marco Bailey plays Room Two on 2nd April for Intec Presents at fabric. Please note that advance tickets have sold out for this event but there will be plenty available on the door.

Founded by Carl Cox in 1998, over its long history Intec has turned out countless classics. A huge vehicle that fuelled dancefloors with quality cuts during its vinyl powered heyday, after a brief hiatus the operation was re-thought and re-launched for the digital realm in 2010 with Jon Rundell stepping up to the plate to help oversee the label and lend a hand to the A&R process. Encouraging their roster of established and emerging talent to draw on a new aspect of their production Intec Digital has welcomed something special from each one of their sounds. 

We first hosted Intec in Room One back in October 2013, an event which began a run of Thursday night sessions which have never failed to be brimming with the grand scale of energy that Cox and Rundell never fail to bring to a dancefloor. So, seeing that these have always been such memorable experiences, it made perfect sense to take full advantage of the upcoming Easter weekend (and the first Bank Holiday of the season) to bring Intec in for an all night long takeover of both Room One and Two enabling us to showcase more of the label's talent with a cast that includes Carl Cox, Jon Rundell, Carlo Lio, Monika Kruse, Marco Bailey & Harvey Mckay.

In the lead up to the event in question we've aligned some mixes from the artists set to come and express their sounds this Easter coming, starting today with an exclusive mix from techno stalwart Marco Bailey. Here he demonstrates his capacity for ramping up the energy levels between hypnotic states, a set sure to lock anyone into the groove of a dancefloor.

UNER is one of the most important names of the new generation of Spanish electronic music producers. His musical training allowed him to develop at a very early age a different dance music concept, based on the pleasure for harmony and the search for a unique, personal sound. This has lead him to edit for labels like Diynamic (where he's an active member and has edited his most celebrated works to date, "Raw Sweat" and "Bassboot"), 2020 Vision, Get Physical, Defected or CR2 to mention a few. UNER has earned the respect of the music industry with talent and work: names like Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox or Luciano play his music on a regular basis; clubs like Berlin's Watergate or Space ibiza book him oftenly and his number of fans increases by the day; all of this because of what he does best, his music.

Apart from traveling around the world as a Dj, in 2011 UNER presented his live gigs, an audiovisual concept in which he uses state-of-the-art software and hardware (from iPads to mini midi keyboards) to explore his most solid, personal side. The artistic expansion of the Catalonian producer will go on during the following months with the creation of several artist albums where he'll express his way of understanding electronic music from a musical point of view and from the center of the dancefloor. UNER's bound to reach higher tops with the only limit of his music... so there's still loads to see, listen and dance.
