'Oh man, I’ve got good news all around! First of all, even if there wasn’t anything to celebrate, this mix from Heathered Pearls is absolutely superb! Almost two hours in length it navigates many favorite genres and artists represented by the Michigan based label, Ghostly International. Just look at this amazing tracklist! In 2009, Ghostly celebrated its 10 year anniversary as a label, with many shows across the globe. This year, the label is commemorating a decade of performances at Decibel Festival. The 10th Ghostly showcase at Decibel will feature live performances from Dauwd, Beacon, Lusine and Shigeto (Friday, September 27th at the Crocodile) and you know that I’ll be there all night!

Meanwhile, Jakub Alexander (that’s Heathered Pearls), a curator of the ISO50 blog and founder of Moodgadget Records, has just released a digital remix album, titled Loyal Reworks, featuring many great artists, including Sun Glitters, loscil, Markus Guentner and Lawrence. There is no End - Janax Pacha

"Om mani padme hum" (ॐ मणिपद्मे हूं) is an ancient Sanskrit 6-syllable mantra. It means "the jewel in the lotus."
Chanting this before sitting practice or yoga allows the initial dust of thinking to drop away, exposing the no-shadow light of don’t-know, our original nature, the true Self.  Not chanted in the head, or with the throat, but from the center, the lower-belly.
The chant stretches the length of one full out-breath, making this version of the chant an excellent technique for attaining just-now mind very quickly and deeply. The length of the breath is not forced, but is watched, intently, especially at the end. The in-breath is also an important part of the chant. “Who is doing this? Who is doing this?” “What controls this breath?”

The long-promised full-length version of this an interior chanting of this great dharani. This is how it is chanted in solo-retreat style, drilling forward and in while viewing into the depths of Moment. A laser-like clarifier of that difference between thinking and our original vast True Self without form or color or sound, and yet is all these things, the vibration of universal substance. Perceive sound -- Kwan Se UM. Chanting this dharani is powerful road into samadhi, and a constant teacher on the Way everyday. Giving many meditation moments in cars and in gaps in the conversations during walks, while crossing a street. My Teacher once told a radio interviewer that it was always his first awareness on waking in early mornings, the dharani already running through his consciousness through a night of sleep, and remaining aware of it as he transitions into bodily wakefulness in the morning for practice is his first conscious awareness of reflecting back, "Who is the one that is doing this? Where does this coming from?" Don't knowwww...

This mix contains music exclusively composed by Canadian artists and released on Canadian labels, spanning roughly 20 years of Canadian techno. 

The sound is on the headier and more experimental side of the spectrum to reflect the festival it was recorded for.

Pantha Du Prince presents "The Triad" Boiler Room Berlin Live Set

Sweden's Mälmo continues basking under the reign of Prins Emanuel. This summer, the Prins brings his first ever full length solo album to The Magic Movement – a concept album that revolves around the medium of the vinyl record itself. Arbete/Fritid, translated from Swedish to read "Work/Leisure Time", are the moods reflected in the LP's two sides. An early Friday evening A-side and a Sunday afternoon B-side – if you will (insert something about Four Tet doing it first here).

The entire work exhibits the a multi-instrumental vision, with the Prins' past experience as a drummer coming through loud and clear. "Bike Chase" brings much of the well loved tropical percussion and hypnotic grooves we had been anticipating. Guaranteed satisfaction for fans of the Swede's former output on the Fasaan/Chalice label.

Aus Music celebrates its tenth birthday this year, as well as its landmark release number 100 – fittingly enough. Will Saul‘s imprint has spent the last decade lovingly building its reputation as one of the most trusted and respected labels for dance music the UK, and quite possibly worldwide too. Joy Orbison’s So Derobe, Ramadanman’s Void 23, George Fitzgerald‘s Child, Leon Vynehall‘s Brother, Bicep‘s Just – it’s likely that Aus Music has soundtracked your most memorable and significant club moments.

To mark two milestones in Aus history, the label presents a 24-track quadruple vinyl/triple CD/vast digital compilation set to drop this summer. Composed of entirely new and exclusive tracks, the compilation is built up by key members from the Aus family as well as boss Mr. Saul himself – Bicep, Midland, Huxley, Deetron, Nick Höppner, Pearson Sound, Youandewan, Marquis Hawkes, Gerd, Sei A, Bwana, Fold, Shenoda, Appleblim and Komon.

It’s our honour to be hosting a five-part Debut series in conjunction with Aus Music, consisting of one Debut a week for five weeks running up to the release date; as well as a very special Boiler Room x AUS100 takeover in London. Joining the celebrations will be Nick Höppner, Marquis Hawkes, Will Saul and a secret guest to be announced the day before.



First up in our Debut series is from the unstoppable dual force of Bicep and Hammer. Fresh from last year’s EP collab Dahlia, Belfast’s tour de force bring it back home with “ARACARI” – a sentimental banger following in the same footsteps as their previous teamwork, and purpose-built for all 4am dancefloors around the world. Bicep & Hammer “ARACARI" - Boiler Room Debuts

As part of our ongoing Aus Music Debut series, we’re thrilled to present “Decompression Suite” – a riveting piece from longstanding Aus Music comrade Harry Aguis (aka Midland). A name that needs little introduction, Midland is known for propelling varied, interesting sounds out into the electronic music field; and has helped fuel the V12 engine that is Aus Music with releases such as “What We Know” and “Reflex”.

Still revelling in last summer’s glory of “Blush“, Midland’s newest track serves as a medley of musical layers. Heavily textural, echoes of panning high-hat hits lay amidst quivering bass tones to provide the foundations of the piece, which is then uplifted by ethereal sweeping synths. The track reaches new heights with the injection of a gripping bass line. All develop and manifest into a truly immersive whole, which slowly evaporates as gradually and neatly as its initial growth.

These chants were recorded not for background music, but as temporrary assists for people to learn how to do simple chanting as a way to clear the mind and enter into deeper sitting meditation, or Zen. Yet some listeners have found practicing the original version of the chant a little difficult, because of the longer breath-length of an experienced chanter. These are two remastered versions of the original, with the original breath-length "compressed" at two speeds for ease of practice. Let us know how it works for you.

We are excited to present Duplicity 032 featuring a mind bending trip into the domain of warped and hypnotic techno from @pyramidal-track!

Born and raised in Italy since ‘98, Pyramidal Decode is the pseudonym of a Techno polyhedral producer. In 2015 he started a duo called “Ort3d” publishing his dub techno works. In 2017 he created Pyramidal Decode releasing his tracks in lables such as Subsist records, DeadCert rec., SK Black, Labrynth, Parabola records. and many more. His music can be hard to define, but it spaces out between ambient techno and hard industrial, coming out as a mind bending anxious calming trip.

Our Streaming From Isolation series is now raising donations directly for Black Lives Matter-affiliated causes. Donations to this stream go to NAACP Legal Defence, a US civil rights organisation that fights for racial justice through litigation, advocacy, & public education. Read up, support & donate if you can.

As part of the series, our long standing partner Ballantine's has committed a fund in the form of 20 grants to be distributed to community-driven collectives around the world. These grants will be given to each collective to distribute as they feel best to support under threat artists and those most in need within their immediate community. This support is critical over the coming months whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place and impacting many artists’ ability to do what they love and to make a living.

Weekly takeover days of Boiler Room’s channels will feature performances and sets programmed by these collectives from isolation. Broadcast to the world from artists’ homes and private spaces, these transmissions are a way to stay connected while apart.
