Inspired by the liberating seduction of house music in the 80’s, italian producer, DJ & artist Andrea Arcangeli is definitely a sound institute & technical virtuoso, presenting his “Blade Of Grass“ Ep, OFF119.
Incipient with subtly uplifting bassline, the title track “Blade Of Grass“ creates a big sense of tension, while wavy vocals surround the differing layers of Arcangeli’s first soundspace-strike.
Second track, “Sun Black“, contains a lighter Bass & rhythmic-structure, but catches everyone’s perception through its neat melody. A track full of atmosphere.
In a final step Pacifica, especially known for their Drumpoet Community Release & our Core Artists Melokolektiv take hand in remixing the grand originals.

Adana Twins latest effort, 'Heroe', gets the remix treatment, as krankbrother, SevenDoors and Dino Lenny each deliver for Exploited.

Formed of Friso and Take It Easy (they're unrelated, despite the name), Hamburg duo Adana Twins have been making a lost of noise in recent years, and following hits for the label in 2012, Exploited seems to have become somewhat of a spiritual home for them.

Now that imprint has drafted in three top producers to have a crack at the Twins' track 'Heroe', and after hearing what Italian, Dino Lenny, came up with, we knew we had to share it with you loyal DT readers. An atmospheric affair, punctuated by a simple but sturdy four-to-the-floor beat, Dino's remix can be streamed below.

The 'Heroe' remixes drop Monday 5th October via Beatport with an iTunes release following on October 19th.

What stands Marcel Fengler apart, as well as his knack for refined atmosphere, is his widescreen vision: he reaches for records from all across the electronic spectrum and from throughout the ages. His official mix for Berghain proved that, snaking as it did through a number of different moods and grooves, but all with a sense of cohesion that betrays his many years behind the decks. As a producer, too, he has amassed an assured body of work on Ostgut Ton in both LP and EP format that is fantastically functional. 

The mix Fengler has put together for us is a high impact hour of firmly rooted rollers embellished with spooky synths and knotted acid, kinked drum lines and insistent claps. Always on a smooth upward trajectory, it is a mix that you can feel transporting you to another realm and one that manages to balance punishing passages with airier moments of trance inducing atmosphere. As such it packs a lot in, but never feels rushed, and leaves you desperate for more.

A technically gifted DJ, Corbi has roots in hip hop and a passion for fundamental timeless music with soul and a head-nodding groove, which is apparent in his music.

This may be Corbi's debut release, but behind the scenes, he's already clocked up a whopping 12 years in the music industry!  By day, he's A&R for FINA Records, and by night, one fourth of Melon Bomb; a DJ crew that are making waves across Ibiza.  This is his second year living in his Balearic bubble, spending the quiet winters learning music theory.  'Cosmo' is a dusty-chord 909 infused track that features vocals from indie-pop act HYDE + SEEK's leading lady Binky.

The visuals contemplate Ibiza off-season, where Corbi finds most of his inspiration. The island without the masses of the ravers or clubs, the buildings and beaches when they are desolate. Corbi's production style carries a lot of nostalgia, giving the notion of old memories which are depicted through an old VHS camera. The video is shot through the eyes of Corbi, memoirs of his seasonal life and existing when the island is on pause.
