Once again, Carhartt WIP Radio welcomes Innervisions to the airwaves with a mix from Kristian Beyer, one half of the irrepressible, in vogue duo, Âme. Since 2003, German duo Kristian Beyer and Frank Wiedemann have produced music under the alias Âme, combining floor-filling tunes with musical elements that go beyond the usual formula of house and techno. Their single "Rej" became a global club hit in 2006 and the duo has been travelling the world and playing at every major club and festival ever since. If that wasn't enough, along with their buddy Dixon, they also run the Innervisions label, currently one of the most sought-after names in contemporary house. Lately Wiedemann has taken to playing solo live as Âme, while Beyer deejays under the same alias. For Carhartt WIP Radio, Kristian has mixed a show featuring some of his favourite tracks from the Innervisions archive.

Born in 1989, Worakls, who is in reality Kevin Rodrigues, is a French dj coming from Paris. He has begun to play music at 3 years old on piano, he has got some bands music of differents styles (rock, hard rock, bossa nova) during his teensage. He begin to produce electronic music when he was 18 years old.

 The meet of Eric Prydz lead him to be a DJ "This is him, or else his music, who make me understand that electronic music can be a very elaborated style and overall more than a punchbag". He stopped his studies completely, and work relentlessly on music, that could be more than 15hours per day. He begin to be know with his first Ep "unity", he was quote by Umek as one of the best new comer in 2009 of the minimalist techno scene.

He lunched the label "hungry music" with his mates N’to & Joachim Pator in february 2014 so the story just started...

Since the turn of the millennium, UK artist Alistair Wells has been putting out a tough and abrasive brand of experimental techno that cannot fail to arrest your attention. Always skewing existing ideas into his own new—often brutalist—ways of thinking, his output has seen him become an in demand live act and DJ who plays across three decks all over the world. He does so under the alias Perc, mostly on his own label Perc Trax, and at the same time he has also brought on a number of likeminded artists from Ansome to Manni Dee. His own catalogue boasts albums like Wicker & Steel and The Power And The Glory, and these have rightfully won him deserved time in the limelight. That fact proves that although Wells has been around for years, he is as vital now as ever. 

As such he brings something new to our mix series across an hour of lively selections. Very quickly settling into a high tempo, high impact groove, there are maximalist techno cuts, passages of angst ridden noise and thumping bangers all bolted together into something uncompromisingly physical and in your face. Franky, it’s a vital visceral offering that would work at any point in the past, present or future of techno.

Maya Jane Coles – Essential Mix - BBC Radio 1 – 19/08/17

Hunter/Game only put out their first release in 2012, but in that time their distinctive strain of deep house has appeared across imprints including Last Night On Earth, Kompakt, Innervisions and Afterlife. 

Such a celebrated list of labels might not normally be expected with a pair of young Milan artists, but for a duo that counts Italian behemoths Tale of Us and Mind Against as close peers their output so far totally makes sense. 

Emmanuele Nicosia and Martino Bertola first caught people’s attention with their party series Just This, where they helped put their Milan hometown on the map by bringing artists like Dixon and Seth Troxler to secret locations. These days the duo are busy playing across Europe, and Just This has now become their own imprint.

With a Farringdon appearance alongside Mano Le Tough slated for next Saturday, we tapped the duo up for a mix to present their warm and immersive sound.

This takes my 3 hour set and compresses it into a 2 hour fragmented interpretation.
Also aired on BBC RADIO 1 on September 1, 2012.

A series of fragmented audio edits based upon my live DJ set recordings. Each one will attempt to capture the feeling and direction of the night, giving those who were there a reminder of the events they experienced while giving those who were not present a fragmented distortion of what they missed.
