After more than one year promoting some of the most beloved parties in São Paulo, Gop Tun break well with their first physical release: Spin Me by Schoolbell. The smash of the eponimus track, already an underground sensation, being highlighted by Dimitri From Paris and blogs around the world is the workhorse, but the remixes are the new deal. Worst Friends is the duo of Tom Croose and Ryan Cavanah AKA Slow Hands and their remix is pure balearic bliss. The man of the hour, HNNY extract the inner Arthur Russell from the track and the result is ready for the floor. Kurc is part of the São Paulo crew and his slowburner take, is music to get naked. Apart from the title track, Schoolbell decided to include a brand new jam called "New Club Track", also a smash if you saw one of their shows. We're all very aware of Dan Shake's uncanny ability to hypnotise hips at his own beck and call. Our boogie get down from a couple months ago is ample evidence for any naysayers. And here he is, back at it again and twisting the knobs on an exciting new project. 

XOA's MO is to match-make the golden era of 70s Afrobeat and contemporary electronica together. It's all very tropical, and perfect background music for the cocktail-wielders among you. Whiffs of Floating Points and Bonobo exist, mainly because XOA is equally comfortable backed by a full live band as behind the decks.

Shake003 is titled "AIYE LE" and features afrobeat royalty in Dele Sosimi — yours for the taking in May. Meanwhile, Mr. Shake provides the rejig, implanting a smidgen of Detroit shuffle into an already groovy original.

James Curds’ ‘High Tower’ single gets the remix treatment. 
A team of legendary remixers line up to provide some hot reworks of ‘High Tower’. Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley is house music royalty, with hundreds of remix credits to his name, and he doesn’t disappoint here. He ups the melancholy undertones of the original with sweet electric piano, sorrowful strings and some moments of pure drama eked from the vocal climaxes. Osunlade’s Yoruba Soul mix is typically classy, stripping things back down to a soulful lilt with shimmering synth arps and tumbling bongos decking out a succinct, warm, beautiful arrangement. His Club Mix makes a beeline for tech-tinged, deep, soulful house with spacious synths and throbbing low end. Enduro Disco chunks things up with his tribal beats, undulating bass drops and atmospheric melodic sounds, drenching the track in a summery, beachy vibe with plenty of oomph supporting it.
