Born and raised in Osaka, ryota has been a key figure in shaping the city’s underground scene. Starting his musical journey at 20 with influences from grime and drum & bass, he developed a wide-ranging sound and a sharp instinct for building immersive experiences. In 2019 he co-founded the DJ collective FULLHOUSE, which quickly became a platform for bringing international talent to Osaka. Since then, his sets have gained recognition for both their energy and curation, with artists such as Yung Singh supporting him since their first meeting at FULLHOUSE in 2022.

For this guest mix, ryota wanted to step away from his usual approach and share a different side of his DJ style—while still staying true to his roots.

This is my first hard schranz track. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, but I enjoyed the process of producing it. Experimenting with this raw, intense sound was challenging, but rewarding, and it’s opened up a new side of my music to explore.
