Kicking off Life In Arpeggio's new 15-Min Flash Mix series is a loyal trooper of the Singaporean DJ community, the inimitable and irresistible Sivanesh. 

Well-versed in luscious house cuts and groovy doses of techno, the veteran has spun at venues like Headquarters, Tanjong Beach Club and Kilo Lounge. His most renowned residency lies with CÉ LA VI where he dominated the main room week after week, even curating the soundtrack of the institution’s Sky High Brunch series. It was here where he famously opened for The Martinez Brothers’ sky-high set organised by the globetrotting Cercle crew, which helped put his name on the worldly map.

In the debut episode of the 15-Min Flash Mix, Sivanesh has pieced together a housey sojourn that explores jazzy chords, soul-dipped vocals and brassy hooks. This is one pouncy set that’s got a nice mix of mellowness and energy, and is a smooth way to introduce the 15-Min Flash Mix.

Damn it's been awhile since i've done a mix! Running the events and agency has kept me crazy busy over the last year or so,  but with all the free time that I have now coz of this pandemic..... I really have no excuse. 

Another reason, why I had to do a mix was because Blackout Agency was invited by More Unst Radio to host a takeover, so I gathered a few of my homies , Brendon P, Maurice Simon and the master of the trippyness Eric Volta to put together something for the show. (All other mixes be up soon) 

I went into this mix with the idea of creating something that could be played at sunset, sunrise or an after party. Something trippy, but laid back and not too intense. I put together some of my fav tracks here for this mix and ended on a note with "Bryan Ferry - Don't Stop The Dance." These four words mean even more to me than they did before, especially in these crazy times where clubs, bars, events, concerts festivals and everything that I love has now come to a standstill. 

Whatever troubles, whatever these new rules are, whatever the circumstances we may face, even as we are locked in our own home, put on some music and.... "Don't Stop The Dance."

Was recently invited to do a mix for the Huntleys + Palmers radio show on RinseFM in the UK. Rinse FM is one of the leading radio stations for top quality electronic music and a lot of my favourite artists have either held down residencies or done mixes for many of the shows on the station. Being a part of something like this is very special to me. =) Massive thanks to Andrew Thomson for making this happen.

#Savemusicsg was set up to help raise awareness to bring forward a discussion with the govt here about how these rules are affecting not only the livelihood and the mental state of musicians, but also the people stuck here in this warped reality.

Here's the recording of my set from the 2 day live stream featuring some of the local DJs . I hope you enjoy this mix and I hope to share a dancefloor with all of you soon.  

After these last two years, I'll never take attending live music and playing live infront of a crowd for granted ever again.
