This is the set I played on january 24th 2016 at "Amanita Muscaria & Tricky: The Flight of the Sacred Rhino" at 6 am, after a live set by Darshan and before the closing set by dj Anoebis.
I tried to create a story by building up from Flying Rhino style psychedelica to morning melodies. It was mixed on 2 x CDJ1000 and a DJM800. I hope you like it.

POB (Paul Brogden) has been lurking elusively behind the scenes now for some time, most notably remixing classics such as ’Heaven Scent’ by Bedrock, ’Break For Love’ by Raze, as well as numerous releases on Bedrock, his own label Seismic, and Platipus who released his excellent debut album ‘Essence’. He’s also collaborated with Simon Berry as Clanger since 1993 and Union Jack with their seminal album ’Pylon Pigs’.

After a seven year solo hiatus, and never one for seeking the limelight, POB proudly unveils his latest overtures. Shunning the traditional remix route, Paul yields two truly unique offerings.

‘Darkness’ plunges to new depths with rolling subtones, relentlessly hypnotic guiro-esque hihats and an arsenal of deranged vocals.

‘Lightness’ discharges a crusading cacophony of grotesque vocal warblings fresh out of the asylum, a barrage of dark bass, and a couple of psychotic heavy breathers that bizarrely crossfade into light-drenched synth chords. You couldn’t make it up … POB can.

In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order. 
It’s hard to believe this is Youth’s debut electronic trance album. 
Cited as a major game changer and pioneer in the revolution of trance into what we now know as Psy Trance, Youth has made and been instrumental in many dust kicking trance anthems. Going back to the legendary Butterfly Studios in Brixton, the original home of trance, so many labels and artists got their acts together including Flying Rhino, TIP and of course Dragonfly with the first definitive trance album series Order Odonata.

This album is a soundtrack to that 40 year journey of experimentation and pioneering recklessness.
