Scala Muziek presents its second vinyl EP, Next Horizon, building on the success of the debut release. After a remarkable year of music and events, this EP embodies the spirit of exploration that defines Scala. Produced by label head Pascal Benjamin, the four tracks blend hypnotic grooves with forward-thinking soundscapes—each crafted to leave a lasting impression.

A1: Personallity opens the EP with minimalist, richly textured rhythms. Its bouncy, infectious groove and subtle shifts in bass and melody create a dynamic flow, making it perfect for both dancefloor energy and introspective moments. Pascal’s attention to detail shines through, balancing personal and expansive sounds. A2: Progress delves deeper into rolling rhythms and uplifting sonic layers, with ethereal synths floating above a driving beat. The track unfolds gradually, building momentum with a continuous, evolving motion. B1: On the flip: Shifting Grounds brings a sense of exploration, with gurgling synths and subtle modulations creating a cerebral yet physical experience. Eerie vocal snippets and sharp minimalism weave together to create a haunting, mysterious atmosphere, rounding off the release with a deep dive into uncharted sonic territory. Burnski's high-quality Constant Black is back with more essential club-ready sounds. Donnie Cosmo and Pascal Benjamin step up for one side of action each. Cosmo's 'Holo Glitch' is first and pairs balmy synth work that is colourful and silky with some punchy tech drums and rolling bass that pulls you in deep. 'Echo Drift' is another lithe and lively one to get you on your toes while the groove flows and 'Airplane Mode' is another stylish mix of lush synth design and great rhythm. Benjamin's trio on the flip is a little more gritty with industrial-space-tech many the most fitting way to describe these curious cosmic cuts.

After several years, revered dub techno craftsman Andrey Pushkarev finally return with a solo release — Simbioza. Taking its name from the Romanian word for symbiosis, this release is a testament to creative exchange, built entirely from collaborations with dear friends & artists that have crossed Pushkarev’s path numerous times during his 20 years long musical journey. While staying true to Andrey’s signature deep & dubby aesthetic, the release also includes the artist’s first drum and bass output, featuring Los Angeles based Svetti’s haunting & mesmerizing vocals. The EP will be released on the label during the month of September 2025 — limited vinyl copies.

Saudi selector and LYMM co-founder, Majid has become integral in the Middle East community. He has grown in tandem with cultural happenings in Saudi Arabia and further afield where appearances at the likes Club der Visionaere, Studio Stereo, Soundscapes, Fabrika Festival, and closer to home, the Beast House series are becoming the norm for Majid. 

Having performed at our last two Saudi editions alongside Beast House, Majid exemplified the deeper aspects of house and techno while still keeping things fresh. We couldn't wait to welcome him to our mix series and he has delivered a recording that doubles down on the impact of these live performances. Shimmering deep house bleeds effortlessly into dub flecked percussive numbers, and with the mix peppered with attitude soaked vocals this mix slaps as much at dawn as it does at dusk.
