        Ramping up for the second half of 2014, Midwest MC's RAMBUNXIOUS and VEDARONE have rejoined forces to form the group PLAY FAIR CYPHER. Set to release their debut album this summer titled "I WANT MORE" (prod. by DJ Pain 1) and RAMBUNXIOUS' latest solo project "Everyday Struggle" in fall, PFC is currently developing and defining a brand, image, and sound of their own. Combining current and classic styles of many genres including Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Soul, and Blues to create a refined blend of music that is both positive and inspiring, yet remains inclusive and without judgement. A mature and socially-responsible alternative, that appeals to those looking to be entertained and motivated without feeling demeaned or inferior.

        By teaming up with Chris Labella for photography, Sara Seashell for guest vocals, Ryan Rickaby of Underdog Survivor for mixing, and Joseph Patterson of Reigny Day Productions for Mastering "I WANT MORE" promises the visuals and engineering required in today's market. Beats and scratches by platinum producer DJ Pain 1 provide a level of quality and industry recognition that is sure to get looks and satisfy the most discerning listener, while an aggressive marketing campaign of printed and social media targets a broad demographic of potential fans. By design, PFC creates a modern style that incorporates new and retro flavors that in-turn appeal to a very wide age range. The subject matter is at times trendy and light-hearted, but consists mostly of themes like hard work and dedication with the intent to uplift and engage. The profanity is minimal and never vulgar, the word play clever and delivered with skill. Two bonus tracks are included for a total of 13 full-length songs destined to serve as the foundation on which they fully intend to build. With "Everyday Struggle" dropping shortly after and other collaborative efforts in the works, PLAY FAIR CYPHER has been planning and crafting their debut and it's follow up with the pride and commitment that listeners deserve.

        This is not the first time that these two creative minds have come together. In fact, they have been collaborating on some level or another for almost a decade. Years before the creation of PFC, both artists were members of MAMA Award nominated group THE LAST HOPE. Before that they had paired up as Gloom Factory. No doubt recognizing a natural chemistry from the beginning, they found it easy to stand on common ground while maintaining the contrast of tone and character that defines their signature sound. Each providing their own insight, ideas, and array of styles to construct the best combined effort possible. Individually however, the road to the cypher started long before the first impromptu freestyle session that brought them together.

        RAMBUNXIOUS grew up in Phoenix, but was originally from Louisville, KY. After moving to Arizona with his family and brother (now a popular MC and Radio personality in AZ known as Pokaface), he started writing lyrics at 15 inspired by a household of creatives. His mother is a singer/songwriter, poet, and fashion designer, while his father is a Shamanic Astrologer and an avid fan of jazz and blues. Ram credits him for developing his taste and ear for music, as well as some of the concepts he will often write about. Although inheriting the natural talent from his mother, he really wanted to rap like his older and equally talented brother. With such close influences of skilled lyricism, diverse songwriting, and open ideology he would have not only the supporting environment fit for an aspiring artist but an excellent selection of background music to go along with it. He was much more serious by 19, and began performing publicly with his first group The Recipe. Life, like everything else changes and brought him to Madison with a new perspective as he became a father. Young, away from family and friends, and in the Midwest. Forced to mature and provide at such an early age, the hard work and dedication heard in his voice is real and relatable. His struggles are not unlike most everyone else's, but his ability to articulate and share about the challenges he faces have helped him gain the praises and support of many.

        Having wrapped up filming for the third installment of his video series produced by CDAB Productions, "Release feat. Karen Reece" will be the transition between the two previously released HD videos. His latest solo project "Everyday Struggle" will drop this fall, and display more of his creative depth and diversity by showcasing a more conceptual side of the artist. He is currently developing an R&B record to follow up with a sound unlike anything he has done before, and a YouTube acapella series allowing fans to download, remix, and share versions of his most popular verses.

        VEDARONE was born and raised in Milwaukee,WI. He vaguely recalls childhood attempts at "Breakin'" and "Paul Revere" style rhymin' but says it was sophomore year in high school that he decided to actually start writing. A separate, small auditorium served as an alternative lunchroom and held the first desk-pounding, free-styling, cypher he had ever taken part in. From that point on his goal was to write. Then to write more and more complex patterns as the 90's progressed. He also took on graffiti as a hobby, an evolution of a life of artistry that continues in the layout and design of promotional material, social media design, and album artwork. Along the way, he also took on beat-making as a way to create his own canvas to rap over by having the creative control of the layout and sequence. This lead to an often greater focus on painting and production over writing, but free-styling was common at most any social engagement of that time. More often than not, he would be the one playing what they we're rhyming to as he was creating beats with a DR-5 by the age of 17. That led to an MC-303 Groovebox, then a PC and synth setup and so on. Occasionally conceptualizing and recording whole songs led to a few live performances and a greater desire to produce entire tracks. Again, life changes and chasing a girl to Madison became a distraction until she got away. Although he always maintained a DAW setup for beat-making, it wasn't until meeting RAMBUNXIOUS that the desire to actually write had returned.

He first gave Ram some beats to write to on his own, but after a few sessions they realized how compatible their individual styles could be and started their first group named Gloom Factory. A few months later they teamed up with a third MC/Producer and began creating their first studio album. They released short runs of an EP, and their album titled "Warning" which was nominated for R&B/Hip-Hop Album of the year in 2007. This trio, and the addition of DJ CDAB began performing as THE LAST HOPE. They would show the Madison area often and eventually traveled throughout the Midwest. Each member then released a solo project including "Far Off Planet EP" by VEDARONE and the "RamBunxious EP" before coming back together on "It Ain't To Early To Tell", the last single with all the original members. After difficulties finding inspiration for another group album, RAMBUNXIOUS eventually began focusing more on solo material and moved on from TLH. Although the remaining members had continued working and had a project near completion, it was called off before being finished due to creative differences. Ram would continue his solo career with a number of features, singles, and videos while VEDARONE began his journey into fatherhood dropping one last single before taking a couple year hiatus.

        In 2013, both artists reconnected and began working on what would become RAMBUNXIOUS' solo album dropping this fall. "I WANT MORE" Started coming together after the  pair reconnected with DJ Pain 1 at a show they opened in December 2013 in Madison. It started with "We Take Time" and took off from there going from a single, to an EP, to a full-length LP. The group has taken no shortcuts on this project and plan on giving fans their best work yet with a consistent and cohesive image, a distinct and recognizable brand, a well-rounded sound and set list, and a marketing plan including flyers and stickers as well as social media promotion on all the major outlets. Scratches and production from a platinum selling producer, engineering by established and proven professionals in the genre, and a product that is mature and respectable for most any listener give PLAY FAIR CYPHER the unfair advantage. In a genre over saturated with talent and aggressive or demeaning content, PFC intends to motivate and promote self-improvement without being judgmental. Providing a soundtrack for the honest hardworking class Hip-Hop fan to feel good about enjoying, and inspired to put just a little more work in themselves.
