I was in the UK last year after a massive summer of touring, caught the train down to Brighton with some friends, and ended up in an incredible studio overlooking the beach. I was missing home a bit, but feeling really inspired and wanted to write a feel-good record, reminding myself of the importance of saving time for the ones I care and love. Whilst (In the studio) overlooking the same site Fatboy Slim hosted his ‘Big Beach Boutique’, I was thinking about the UK’s dance music history, it inspired me, and decided to lean into the idea of writing something that sounds sampled, but isn't. I often like to write records completely on my own, but it feels so perfect to have written this one alongside some good pals — Clementine Douglas, Caitlin Stubbs & Toby Scott.

Here at Sky Terrace, we can't think of a better way than this incredible mix from GOLDSTAR. In addition to being one of the most notable DJs in the Colorado area, Lexi Lim is one of the co-founders of Denver Progressive House: a community-oriented collective that champions Progressive House events with incredible artists and talented musicians. We consider DPH to be Sky Terrace's spiritually aligned partner collective: both driven by a deep love of the music. 

Lexi has had an amazing 2024, including a marquée direct support set for Anjunadeep's Eli & Fur atop the peak of Vail Mountain. In her mixes, GOLDSTAR skillfully weaves deeply groovy tunes with moving melodies: embracing the continuum between Progressive, Deep, and Organic House. Hard-hitting percussion couples with soulful vocals and emotional harmonies in this mix - ideal for your New Years festivities, the drive home from the party, or for a nightcap after arriving home.

Let's pop open some champagne, start some black-eyed peas on the stove for good luck, and wish GOLDSTAR a very warm welcome Sky Terrace's Moonlight Mixtapes series.
