The last 18 months have seen @clivefromaccounts quickly establish himself one of the most exciting and innovative house producers on the scene today. With an identity shrouded in mystery he has released a series of absolutely dynamite EP's for Outplay, Dirt Crew, Income Tax and Razor-N-Tape. 

Clive's @RazorNTape EP 'Strictly Business' landed a couple of weeks ago to huge critical reception and lots of DJ love. It's a sublime EP, four tracks which see him take his own unique house style and finesse that to fit perfectly with Razor-N-Tape's NY heritage. It's a very classy affair indeed. We hosted the premier of lead track Tell Me and we also spoke to Clive to try and shed a kink of light on his background which is well worth checking out.

We have been so blown away by Clive's output that we asked him to put together a mixtape for our Selectors series and he didn't disappoint delivering one of the best mixes of the series so far for us. Icon. Living legend. Both definitions that apply to Marco Bailey, a self-taught dj and  producer whose career started to develop in the late 80s after attending a local club in his native Belgium, and being completely seduced by the rhythmic power of dance music. 
That was when all changed. A first approach that triggered the decision to be behind decks instead of the dancefloor. And since then, he has committed his life to music. 
Three decades later, he’s known as an artist constantly pushing techno to its next level, this by producing his own tracks, managing his first own label MB Elektronics ( established in 2001 ), and of course, by travelling all around the world to make people dance and go crazy with his flawless technique and impeccable selection. 
During his career, he has released acclaimed singles, Eps and albums on labels like Primate, Drumcode, Bedrock, Intec, Arts etc, on each one of them demonstrating a forward thinking approach, and the desire to not just ignore, but break -or crush- the mold of what can be considered a trend in a certain moment. On each producion he stays 100% true to his instinct and beliefs, and that is an unbreakable pact with his heart.
Nowadays, as an innovator and an artist completely and permanently devoted to his craft, he’s at the helm of MATERIA, a concept that was born on 2015 as a successful event dedicated to techno in its purest form.

In the 106th episode of Techno Cartel Podcast we are pleased to host JRD

JRD, based in Antwerp Belgium, brings a fine combination of solid techno and detroit electro. A moving mixture of old and new stuff collected through the years. 

Back in the eighties JRD (originally from Holland) got interested in dance music when New-beat and Acid-house was introduced. Since than he has been playing records and experienced the evolution of electronic dance music. 30 years later he is still on the block, releasing music on Token, MindTrip Record, Prophet Recordings and more to come. 

Back in the days he was the founder of the Dutch Resistance-concept in Antwerp (electro and techno) and one of the resident powers at Technoir (techno).

Dave Ellesmere began life in Southport, UK as a hardcore punk drummer in the venerable band Discharge, who have seen covers by none other than Metallica. Subsequently, he developed an affection for classic Detroit and Chicago styles of techno, and lists DJ performances at festivals like Awakenings, Welcome to the Future, Tomorrowland and Mysteryland. Dave is a producer that operates the outstanding Belief System record label and has two techno albums on Heiko Laux’s Kanzleramt, as well as releases on Sven Väth’s Cocoon and Radio Slave’s Rekids. In addition, he has also collaborated with 2000 and One on hit club tracks for 100% Pure, to having notable admirers such as Jeff Mills and DJ Rush. The concept PLAY. was created in the beginning of 2018 in Žilina as a regular vinyl club night. In a short time, the brand became regionally known, then it became nationwide and began to appear in clubs across Slovakia. PLAY. is primarily an event that aims to create a unique electronic experience for the visitor. Our collective of DJs, who can be found on www.playslovakia.sk , focuses mainly on deep techno, driving, raw and electro sound. We also produce a series of podcasts and video sets, whose creators are musically close to us.

In addition to organizing events, we also offer sound and DJ equipment rental, DJ School and DJ Room for rent.
