Originally from Kochi prefecture, now residing in Tokyo. He started organizing his own nights in 2011 where he honed his dj skills. Playing anything from classic to cutting-edge tracks, his smooth mixing brings a unique tension and intonation to the ﬂoor through individualistic loops. By gaining his reputation through his dj sets and an insatiable pursuit of the techno scene led him to play regularly in Osaka as well as various venues in mid and West Japan. As an organizer he has brought over many prevalent modern techno artists such as Claudio PRC, Ness, Luigi Tozzi and Refracted, in order to evolve the techno scene in Japan. In 2014 he moved to Tokyo where he linked up with his main partner Kannabi to start the techno party Katharsis. In recent years his music production skills have ﬂourished, hence, set up the label Katharsis Recordings. The ﬁrst release is sprit 12 from the Label founder Masafumi Take and Kannabi. Also include Iori and Takaaki Itoh remix. He is recognized as the next generation to take up the techno mantle in Japan.

オーガナイザーとしては、Claudio PRC、Ness、Luigi Tozzi、 Refractedなど、アップカミングのテクノアーティストを招き、テクノシーンを作り上げる。 2014年より東京に移住し、同世代のkannabiと共にテクノパーティ「Katharsis」を主宰として率いる。
ここ数年で本格的にトラック制作を開始し、2017年にはKatharsisの音楽観を表現してい くためのレーベル 「Katharsis Recordings」を立ち上げ、IORI、Takaaki Itohのリミックスを含んだスプリットヴァイナルEPをリリースし話題となった。2018年4月からは自身初となるEUツアーを敢行し、ベルリンを含む2カ国3都市でプレイし、世界デビューを果たす。2018年6月には、同レーベルよりKatharsis 002をリリースし、伝統ある英国mixmagのテクノレビューページにて彼のトラックがピックアップされた。日本のテクノシーンから躍進する新たな才能として注目される存在だ。

His musical identity has ever been evolving, from a raw industrial to today's deep and hypnotic sound.

The newest DJ set  for our PLAY. podcast servies was prepared by Bratislava based DJ ANK. ANK has been involved in electronic music scene since early 2000`s when he hosted many festivals and events. In 2001, when the already legendary Czech magazines Trip - mag and X - mag and mixed CDs came into his hands, this experience affected him so much that electronic music became his everyday addiction. In the beginning, as a clubber he attended well-known clubs and events all over Europe, which created a desire to organise his own event. It's the year 2005 and, with the strong support of DJ Andy K (Andre Tribale), he orgaised his first event called Cream Biscuit Open Air, where with the help of Andy K, he stood behind the mixer for the first time. He had a break from organising events for several years, focusing mainly on finding his right musical path. He started playing active in 2009 and he returned behind mixing desk at Music is The Answer. At the end of 2010, he founded the project Music: Affair, whose main direction is house music, where local names have performed. In 2011, he organised his second big Open Air under the brand Music: Affair, where 12 DJs performed and he played at the open air event BeeFree for the first time. In 2016 Ank founded Asfalt Soundsystem together with bbk (David Cierny). Same year he become a part of Serbian project Lobotomija and year after he established Derivate (Asfalt Soundsystem) warehouse party which takes important role in Bratislava nightlife. Ank is founder of OLAM collective platform (https://soundcloud.com/olam_collective) that emphasises uniqueness in the local sphere. Collective that combines an artist’s potential with the opportunities to represent themselves in between new waves of sub-communities searching for something deeper than what they have been used to up to now. Grateful for being in right circumstances he visited many places and meet people that influenced his current music presentation. He is the creator and the seeker of an atmospheric and vivid soundscapes. The flashing light and enigmatic sets are his trademark. #ANK is here to cut the dark.....His nearly 100-minute set today is a proof of that.

Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Canadian producer Rich Oddie ([aufnahme + wiedergabe] / Surface Records).

Rich Oddie has been creating innovative electronic music since the early 1990s, drawing on a wide range of influences that include punk, industrial, techno, and shoegaze. 
His solo productions have been met with critical acclaim, developing an atmospheric mix of ice cold techno, aquatic dub, and industrial abrasion. 
In recent years, Rich has been playing eclectic DJ sets that combine techno, industrial, EBM, electro, and other sources from the history of electronic music.

Alessandro is the head of Mannequin Records and the resident dj / curator of the bi-monthly Mannequin Records nacht at Berghain/Panorama Bar. Since moving to Berlin in 2013, he introduced an array of obscure techno, electro, ebm, minimal synth, post-punk and experimental records through his own imprint. His music production is deeply influenced by the use of analog equipment from the 70's and the 80's. His recording studio, based in Berlin, is filled with some of the most amazing synthesizers, drum machines and outboard produced during that period. His dj and production skills brought him to work with music institutions like Berghain, Tresor, Redbull Music Academy, Resident Advisor, Boiler Room, Atonal Festival and so on. In 2019 he started a music collaboration with the electro producer The Hacker as 'Amato & Adriani', followed by a release and an extensive tour around Europe. Aside from his work in releasing forgotten gems and up to the minute synth incantations, Alessandro Adriani has also been quietly issuing out his own music for labels like Mannequin, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Pinkman and Jealous God. Internal Observer (or Nternal Bserver), is creating since 2014 his own productions and playing techno in live-act format using software and / or hardware. His productions oscillate around several shades from ambient, experimental to dark and industrial techno. The live performances that he presents are a mix of emotions and a deep atmosphere, thanks to which he builds a bond with the audience even more during the performance.

He is the owner of a label called Unknown Timeline, focusing on Polish artists, having two vinyl releases and a number of digital ones. Together with his friend DJ from Germany, he runs a label more widely open to artists from around the world Delayed Arrivals Records where they releases on cassette tapes. He also co-creates and supports the Hidden Noises DJ collective. His productions can be heard on labels such as Accents Records (FR),Neural Tapes (FR), SYXT (GE), Modular Mind (NL), DVNTT (BL).

Nitrate returns this year with a delightful, ambient set for the Thrènes Mix Series. Since her first appearance in our mix series back in 2017, Nitrate's passion for music has steadily grown. Her talent is widely recognized, thanks to her numerous DJ performances in various venues, festivals, and radio stations across Switzerland. Nitrate is also actively participating in the electronic music scene, both as an event organizer at the UMBO underground club in Zürich and as the founder of [RONO2], a series of podcasts featuring live recordings in the artist's studio.
    
Her set for Thrènes reflects the quintessence of uninterrupted tension. Losing track of time through a plethora of details that lurk in this unique assemblage is just one of the numerous mundane pleasures that the listener will experience.
We can immerse ourselves in Nitrate's sonic universe as we await—with great enthusiasm—her forthcoming imprint (000-000) to be released soon.
