Arrivé du Bénin par des chemins pas conformes, El Señor Igor nous chante des tranches de vie tel un conteur africain des temps modernes.

Une plume pleine d'ironie, le propos mordant et le verbe acerbe, guitare en bandoulière, ses chansons se baladent entre critique sociale et poésie urbaine.

Entre Calypso, Folk Africain et Reggae acoustique, ses influences sont quant à elles multiples : ce tromboniste de formation a arpenté de nombreuses scènes avec les célèbres Washington Dead Cats (Rock'n'Roll) ou les Rasta Bigoud (Reggae).

Depuis 2005, El Señor Igor s'est produit avec ses 2 albums dans de nombreuses salles en Île-de-France et en province dans les premières parties de Souad Massi, Kassav, Guem, Anis, Louis Bertignac, Ours ou Youssoupha...

Engagé, à la fois drôle et fâché, ce griot de la banlieue nous ballotte ainsi entre les faubourgs de Cotonou et Corbeil-Essonnes en passant par Kingston, avec une seule et bonne intention: partager un petit bout d’espoir ...
