BRISTOL,United Kingdom, Monday, August 18th, 2025—A multifaceted artist with a formal and lifelong training in jazz and electronic music, ZOiD (Daniel Jacobson), launches his seventh album Industrial Wind Quartet in collaboration with Cassiopeia Wind Quintet through his label Zoitrax, with twelve tracks available digitally through all streaming platforms including Bandcamp and limited edition vinyl starting on November 7th, 2025.

Industrial Wind Quartet is home to twelve tracks, with nine original pieces composed and arranged by ZOiD in collaboration with Ireland’s finest wind musicians from Cassiopeia Wind Quintet.

Four of the five talented members performed for the album: Deirdre O'Leary on clarinet and bass clarinet, John Hearne on bassoon, Cormac Ó hAodáin on French horn and Catriona Ryan on flute. Future live shows will also feature the Quintet's oboe player, Matthew Manning.

The album is rounded out by three remixes from some of the best techno and IDM producers: μ-Ziq (Mike Paradinas), EOMAC (Ian McDonnell) and Dan Curtin, each adding their own creative spin.

The writing process began in January 2024. ZOiD started by composing music on the guitar, then arranged these parts for four wind instruments. During his analysis and transcription of Aphex Twin tracks, ZOiD observed wind-like sounds created electronically, leading to the idea of using real wind instruments and blending them with crunchy industrial percussive sounds.

Collaborating with Cassiopeia Wind Quintet was a natural choice, given ZOiD’s longstanding connection with Deirdre O’Learyand the alignment with the album’s concept.

Serendipitously, the oboe player was unavailable during the recording, reducing the Quintet to a Quartet for the Industrial Wind Quartet. The recording for this project took place in June 2024 at Arad Studio in Dublin. Mixing was handled by ZOiD, with mastering by Alex Lennon.
