Adam X's illustrious music career began in 1990 in Brooklyn, NYC, where he was born and raised. His earliest productions were released during this period, and he quickly gained momentum as one of the most adept DJs on the global underground techno scene.

Alongside pioneer and brother Frankie Bones, he opened the doors of Groove Records in Brooklyn as America's first true outlet for underground electronic music with a direct focus on the techno genre. The Groove Records team also took part in organizing the first techno events ever to take place in NYC, including the legendary Storm Rave that started in 1991. Storm Rave was the first all-techno warehouse party organized on the East Coast of America, featuring line-ups with many up-and-coming artists who would later become global techno cult figures.

The Sonic Groove label was born in 1995 at the upgraded Manhattan location of the shop (which also changed its name from Groove Records to Sonic Groove during the transition). Adam continues to operate the label in an exemplary and innovative way, with over one hundred releases to date, focusing on an assortment of techno music styles from many well established artists across the electronic music spectrum.

A unique perspective and acute knowledge of music can be recognized in his DJ and live sets, which have always retained a unique sense of an uncompromised approach to the dance floor. Adam's approach facilitated acid techno's dominance in the early to mid-nineties, and he nearly single-handedly put the Industrial and EBM Techno cross-over genres on the map for the first two decades of the millennium. Now, Adam returns to his purist techno roots with a hard but deep thought-provoking sound, one combines the past, present and future of this timeless music.

His Traversable Wormhole, ADMX-71, The Secret Initiative, Mass-X-Odus, and X-Crashed side-projects, along with his collaboration with co-conspirator U.K.-based artist Perc in their project AX&P, and with his techno life partner Maedon as Maedon-X on Tresor Records, have all strongly impacted the most discerning audiences.

Adam X has also released his own work on his seminal imprint, as well as releases on some of the most essential labels to exist, both past and present, such as Wax Trax!, Direct Drive, Magnetic North, Peacefrog, Drop Bass Network, CLR, Hands Productions, as well as preeminent contemporary labels like Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, L.I.E.S, Hospital Production, and Pinkman.

Adam currently resides in the electronic music capital of the world, Berlin, Germany. With unparalleled dedication, his activities never cease as he continues his individual tradition of operating on every vital level, from label activity to organizing events in the legendary Tresor club and performing in some of the world's most credible venues—a practice he has maintained since the early '90s. Adam X is a true force whose contribution has reached far into bringing the future forward for electronic music.

The twelfth episode reinforces our guest, Mesh Convergence's pure-spirited versatile role, who emerges in the techno empire, both as DJ and producer. Nahuel Rodriguez, known as Mesh Convergence, is a Spanish producer whose work has significantly impacted the techno scene. Currently residing between Granada and Madrid, his roots are firmly planted in techno. However, his musical explorations extend to Electro, Breakbeats, Jungles, Drum & Bass, and IDM, reflecting his broad musical interests and versatility.

Nahuel's journey into music began with a love for Linkin Park and metal in 2006, eventually evolving into an interest in electronic music by 2010. However, his reconnection with techno in 2020 truly defined his current musical direction. His sound has been shaped by various techno producers, resulting in a unique blend of styles that sets him apart in the electronic music scene. His music, a product of emotion and experimentation, offers an intense and addictive listening experience. 

It has been released on esteemed labels such as Faut Section, Edit Select, Children of Tomorrow, Utopia, TMM, Sungate, Subsist, BAHN-, Signal, Arido, NYXII, and Diffuse Reality, among others. 

His tracks have found their way into the sets of renowned artists like DVS1, Laurent Garnier, Rødhad,Takaaki Itoh, Setaoc Mass, Lewis Fautzi, Fabio Florido, HD Substance, Pfirter, Adriana Lopez, Ribé, Viels, Vincent Neumann, Blazej Malinowski and more, resonating in iconic venues such as Berghain, Awakenings, Luna Park, Sisyphos, Fabrik, and Tresor.

Nahuel's music, which ranges from pounding techno to richly textured breaks, is a fusion of robotic and organic sounds. Drawing inspiration from science fiction and the material world, his unique sonic palette integrates everything from natural elements to dystopian future synthesizers. 

This results in DJ sets that transport the crowd, offering them an escape from their surroundings.

With several upcoming releases, Nahuel continues pushing electronic music's boundaries. His vision is to create music that provides an escape, a sonic journey that takes listeners away from their everyday reality and immerses them in a world of sound. For OECUS he prepared a deep, drifting techno installation, that showcases the more modern part of his vinyl collection. This set features forward-thinking productions, well balanced mixdowns, progressive grooves, and an overall atmospheric sound design, promising a captivating auditory journey.

The 20th edition of our DECENNIUM series comes courtesy of one of the brightest flames in the world of Electronic Music in recent years; UK duo, Giant Swan (Mannequin, Timedance).

"Giant Swan is the brainchild of Robin Stewart & Harry Wright; an acerbic marriage of energised, aggressive dance music, quaking bass and hypnotic electronic noise. Having built a formidable reputation for their hi-octane improvised performances, relentless international touring and a succession of acclaimed EPs on respected imprints such as Whities, Timedance and Mannequin, 'Giant Swan' sees the pair stepping things up significantly, with a full-length musical statement that bristles with the galvanising energy for which they're known while introducing a fresh depth, range and sonic nuance to the equation.

Named after a beloved track by screamo overlords the Blood Brothers, Giant Swan was originally conceived as a side project from their roles as guitarists in the band The Naturals, with formative influences such as My Bloody Valentine and Lightning Bolt being distilled over time with inspiration from the varied and always vibrant local music scene in Bristol. From dub soundsystem teachings at the Trinity Centre and Black Swan or the fiercely experimental early transmissions of friends in the Young Echo collective, Giant Swan have grown to take their place as one of the most singular and determined groups to emerge from the UK underground in many years.

Whilst not belabouring the point, this outsider status is important to note: despite rousing audiences at festivals such as Unsound and Berlin Atonal, and sharing stages with the likes of Objekt and Actress, Giant Swan have always approached their craft in an entirely different way to most of their contemporaries. Musically this is evident in Stewart’s contorted vocal textures married with shards of abused guitar noise that cut through the four to the floor heaters, but also comes across in their conceptual approach - be it onstage, facing each other whilst flanked by walls of amplifiers or in interviews, where the pair have consistently stressed the need for inclusive clubbing environments based on equality, enjoyment and an ongoing, unflinching critique of the culture.

At the same time they’ve been subverting expectations on the international techno circuit, they’ve also had one foot in a more experimental camp, equally at home playing alongside Moor Mother (for whom they’ve produced a track on the forthcoming Analog Fluids of Sonic Black Holes album) at leftfield arts festivals as they are sending it in at legendary clubs like Berghain and Tresor. This year they’ve also made tentative steps towards putting themselves in front of a more mainstream audience; with two appearances at the revered Glastonbury Festival, a high profile support slot at the Royal Albert Hall with indie heroes The Horrors (who they have also recently remixed) and a specially commissioned live set for BBC Radio 1."
