Premiere: Xei Ju - Britva [RIO13]

Zeta Reticula (Uros Umek) is among the wide cream of today's atmospheric breaks and electro producers, carrying on strong with a career that he's kept steady since 2000. Since the mid-2010s, the Slovene star has hopped from label to label, signifying a restlessness that matches the writhing weight of his music. 'The Beryllium' is yet another EP to capture Reticula's preference for unrelent, commanding a unique sense of space and weight that flaunts a true sense of art. Listened to in one way, 'Need To Orbit', sounds like a functional acid jam, but its pitch-perfect use of reverb and EQ renders it gestalt, nearly convincing us that the track was direct-outputted from the aux port of an interplanetary war machine and not a stack of analog synths. On the other hand, the closing remix from Sound Synthesis is nice and cascading - gushing, sheathing sounds abounding - contrasting to Reticula's opting for judderings and impacts.

Cosmic Tribe is excited to release CALAGAD 13’s latest EP, “Bio-Synthetic,” a compelling exploration of a dystopian future where biology and technology intersect. This limited edition white vinyl release, with only 150 copies available, features the original tracks “Biomantics” and “Synthogerm,” alongside standout remixes by CREASOL (@creasol), C-SYSTEM (@c-system), 5ZYL (@zygzyl5), and EC13.

“Biomantics” immerses listeners in a dark sci-fi realm where scientific advancements manipulate memory and energy, introducing a biotechnological entity that defies natural boundaries. The track explores the fusion of biology and technology in a dystopian world.

“Synthogerm” continues this theme with its depiction of hybrid beings created from the combination of synthetic and biological elements. It offers a glimpse into a future where scientific frontiers are continuously evolving and life is constantly reshaped.

The EP’s remixes add diverse stylistic interpretations from leading names in the European underground electronic scene:

CREASOL and EC13 offer unique takes on “Biomantics,” with CREASOL providing an 80s synth wave flair and EC13 delivering an Electro-techno twist.
5ZYL and C-SYSTEM reimagine “Synthogerm,” with 5ZYL infusing it with an Electro/Breaks vibe and C-SYSTEM adding a techno edge.
The “Bio-Synthetic” EP is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts, available in a limited edition white vinyl format.
