On November 25th PLAY. returns to the Hoffmann club in Žilina, where we invited another special guest from abroad. Aksamit - resident of Wrocław's Ciało, Berlin’s Art Bei Ton, founder of the Affekt agency and the Velvet Vortex series, also a teacher at the Instytut Dźwięku, Warsaw school of modern music. She is more and more often seen in terms of a wrap of the secret of unpredictability and this is what characterizes her current mysterious autumn podcast with a deep and hypnotic sound that she has prepared for us.

Kyiv-born and Prague-based @andriy_k, combines braindance club music and deep listening downtempo, picking percussive folk elements and grime influenced basslines. After gaining recognition through @ickpa and Nearbyrave, he’s been showcasing his live act in Amsterdam's Garage Noord for a night curated by @upsammy. Currently co-organizing events with @motsion-ua, Ukrainian multidisciplinary formation blending audio and visual performances.

Nanogram is a Hong Kong-based DJ and promoter of Entropy 熵, monthly experimental techno event held monthly at Mihn Club Hong Kong. For January 2024 episode of Entropy 熵 Radio, Nanogram released a live recording of his warmup DJ set "ENTROPY x KGR(n) Tokyo" nights from December 2023.

Pretty much the 14th anniversary today or thereabouts of the Sandwell District party so let's have a listen to NYC native David Sumner AKA Function do his thing for an hour. Super deep techno from the man on this one.

Was a great main room billing at this party (as was room 2 tbh) with Forward Strategy Group along for the ride as well as TVO doing his hybrid/live thing [Archive #22], will hopefully get that FSG one out eventually too to complete the room.

I'm going to take the foot off the gas a little and stagger these releases going forward (guess I was making up for lost time after a year hiatus in sticking these out) but there will be more coming so don't worry.

Focusing on the production of music for more than 5 years, She creates analog-sounding, fast, actual techno, currently being very inspired by the modern 140 bpm-ish Copenhagen scene. She re-explores the oldschool rave and build it up again through the glance of her introverted character and “born in Russia” ambitious attitude, aiming for the vinyl releases.

Let’s bring the real passionate rave back and forget calling schranz a hardcore genre! Feel the love, freedom and togetherness - rave on!
