so i couldn't help but do another CocoRosie cut... I'm just addicted to their voices :)



this is more of a glitch-hop type, as compared to werewolf, though a bit of dubstep influence is apparent as the track gets further along.



this is still very much a work in progress, the drums need to be rendered to audio and then chopped and glitched a lot more, and I wanna do more editing work on the vocals as well... and there are some definite mastering issues to be sorted out... but I wanted to at least post this up to get some feedback.

Joe Ford returns to the family with a monstrous release on Caliber Music, via his 'Mission' EP. This 21 year old producer - who released his debut EP on Ammunition Recordings almost 2 years ago - has seen massive success over the last 12 months, quickly becoming one of the hottest names in Drum & Bass, Neurohop, Dubstep, and beyond. 

In his latest offering on Caliber, Joe Ford experiments with a range of vibes over five tracks on the EP. Kicking off with tunes like 'Mission' and 'Combine,' Ford continues to impress in whatever style he chooses to take on. Joe's close attention to detail and Neurofunk bassline mastery collide with tear-out breakbeat vibes to make a uniquely lethal combo. 

Taking things into more relaxed and lush territory over the next two, 'Moving On' and 'Majesty', showcase a more sentimental side to the producer... about as restrained as you'll hear from him. 

Joe Ford closes the release out with a big room dubstep floor smasher, 'Unsafe'. Like he so easily did with the Glitch-Hop format, Joe Ford brings his signature neuro vibe to Dubstep and Breaks. To me this represents how the Western profit driven mentality has overlooked the spirit's essential connection to and responsibility for our Earth. Some are born to do Earth Medicines, do ritual, art etc... things that do not fit well into an economic conservative yet exploited society. These Empaths, intuits etc are told they have mental disorders and given pharmaceuticals to numb their innate gifts and majority have chemical dependent diets. this numbing is so they can focus only on the material they must study to regurgitate back out for a piece of paper. not ask why we are here. not ask what is my purpose. only a chance to slave their lives away far far from nature or too much and make them resent nature. imbalance... We must stop masking our humanity with a fake smile and numbing it with drugs. the Nature Spirit of each of us that are indigenous to Earth, one family should be developed in our youth so they can bring in a new time for all earthlings. a time of harmony and peace

So i did this remix almost a year ago, and after it got such a good response on soundcloud and elsewhere, I decided that instead of giving it away, I would try to get in touch with CocoRosie to see about the possibility of a legit release.I never cared about making any money off of it, and I wanted to give them all the royalties.But they have proven rather tough to contact (understandable, given their international success).So, I've finally decided to give it away, slightly tweaked and re-mastered.
Seeing as they are responsible for 99% of what makes this track cool, it would still make me happy to know that they benefit in some way from this, so if you enjoy this tune, consider buying the original:

Simone Carlotti, PLOT, nasce ad Urbino iI 14 Novembre del 1986. Muove i primi passi nel mondo musicale all' età di 8 anni iniziando a studiare pianoforte classico sotto la supervisione dell' ottimo maestro Emanuele Bertoni per scoprire poi all'età di 14 anni una passione per le percussioni. Inizia così un' esperienza intensa come batterista in 2 cover band differenti, dalle sonorità blues e punk senza mai nascondere una costante ricerca musicale e una passione marcata verso nuove sonorità, che lo avvicineranno anche allo studio di strumenti come basso e chitarra.
Allʼetà di 19 anni, si appassiona al mondo della musica elettronica interessandosi a sonorità che vanno dal Big Beat alla Break e Drum & Bass.
Nel 2009 / 2010 fonda insieme ai membri della già affermata Now Kaos Tribe il gruppo The Backdraft, che per un periodo di due anni organizzerà eventi Bass Music nei locali di Urbino e non richiamando ospiti nazionali ( Maztek, Dub all Sense, Pastel, Tisiko, Too-Sick...) e internazionali ( Benny Page, Zion Train, Doc Scott ... ) e proponendo dj set Break Beat e Big Beat. L' amore per la Bass music, un viaggio in terra inglese ( Londra ) di circa un' anno e i tanti stimoli che lo circondano lo avvicineranno al mondo delle produzioni 
sperimentando dalla Drum & Bass alla Bass Music.
Attualmente è dj indipendente e produttore drum & bass / Bass Music presso Delta9 recordings.
