Sven Laux has always had an eclectic source of inspiration. Found sound producers naturally have their ears tuned to the possibilities heard in virtually any source of audio. Laux's music has taken an emotional turn over the last couple of years and his latest mix provides a bit of insight into that shift. With nearly an hours worth of heartfelt ambient, drone and contemporary classical sounds, enjoy this unique and personal look into Laux's creative vault.

Pluie/Noir Podcast is a bi-monthly audio-visual episode representing our work as an artist collective. Each episode will feature a one hour collage/mix by one of our producers/djs and a poster triptych by one of our designers.

I would not call this a podcast - much rather I like to look at it as an audible collage coloured with found sounds and old field recordings that I’ve collected over the past years. Chopped samples and vocal snippets swirl around recorded synths and EFX from the studio.

Reach a state of abstract wellbeing, framed with master Theo’s funky black ass and sprinkle some nordish break jazz flavours over the top."

Pluie/Noir Podcast 043 - "The Assumed Existence of Parallel Thoughts" by Voigtmann

The sixth episode of the HD series is finally out, hosted by the talented Funke resident @djyentl

Following the chuggy Frond mix, we wanted to stay on the cosier side of electronic music and pay tribute to the art of the warm-up, that hazy time at the start of the night when DJs can take their time to build an atmosphere, where listening sometimes takes precedence over dancing, and where DJs and clubbers are still tryng to find each other.

After watching her sets for Kiosk and Gimic, Yentl. immediately felt like the perfect fit, and judging by the result, she perfectly captured the vision we had for this podcast. Here it is, one hour where mesmerising deep house, gentle dub techno and spacey electro intertwine. Not too fast, yet keeping things club-friendly, Yentl. cultivates a sound she’s been crafting through her Odd Occurrence nights at Ghent’s iconic Funke club and her radio show The Odds.

We’re delighted to share it with you, and hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we did.

The mix has a mixture of influences between Asian landscapes, film noir soundtracks, grass fields by night and audiovisual surfaces of the inner space.

Multicast Dynamics aka Samuel van Dijk delivered this much expected mix to us in the beginning of Spring. This mix took us a long time to listen repeatedly, from the moment it starts to the end, we were deeply indulged in the dreamlike whirls. Such feeling lingers apart from the change of the surrounding, it even strengthens with intense stimulation. His music is rich with levels of creativity, and there are also entrances and exits; it doesn’t lose itself because the change of the environment.
