03 Crabcakes

This sweet and innocent piano based ballad takes on a unique lyrical perspective – Instead of singing “about love”, the lyric is sung “to love”, by personifying the feelings that it longs for. Asking the questions – “Where did you go love?” and singing out - “Can you hear me?”  The enchanting melody floats above the piano and strings, setting the mood of the longing lyric.

03 Can You Hear Me

This quirky pop/rock song has a bouncy (almost dance) beat, is heavy on guitars while relying on accordion for the final solo. The message is empowering – don’t let love stress you out.  You’ll be fine on you own.  (You can do better than him.)   

04 Breathe In Breathe Out

Tastes Like Sin is a dark and moody folk/rock period piece.  Based in the wild west, it tells the story of “Kissin’ Kate Barlow” and a time when love had a price which jealousy often paid. Haunting harmonies and powerful strings set the mood for this memorable tale.

05 Taste Like Sin

Original idea was to write a song using 2 chords. Well that didn't happen and I succumbed to  using 4 chords with variations. The  Lyrics I wrote whilst working in Germany.
