The original tune by Plump DJ's was from their debut album "A Plump Night Out" (2000) which was released on Fingerlickin' Records.

It was considered somewhat of a breakbeat anthem around that time, and I can safely say that it was one of the tracks that actually got me into electronic breakbeat dance music.
These guys were my favourite EDM artists for a very long time.

Enjoy this live recording of the Plump DJs (Grand Hotel Recordings) from the Space Cowboys' 13th annual Breakfast of Champions in San Francisco on New Year's Day. The Plumps were a surprise, unannounced addition to the line-up this year and to the delight of an unsuspecting crowd, they lit up the Funktion One stage as the sun was setting on yet another epic B.O.C. Big thanks to Lee and Andy for rocking Breakfast of Champions and for making this recording available to The RIPEcast. We hope you like it!

Plumps DJs are internationally renown UK DJ/Producer duo Andy Gardner and Lee Rous, whose passion for innovation and non-conformist attitude to electronic music has fuelled their fire for over a decade. Their unmistakeable signature sound has earned them recent remix commissions from the likes of Deadmau5, Mark Ronson, Moby and Orbital while their four deck live show has lead to countless international tours and shows at London's lead music venues XOYO, Fabric and the Nest.  Self admitted suckers for bass and 'the groove' Gardner&Rous fuse Electro-House, Rave, Acid, Breakbeat and Techno into their own unique style they call 'Plump Music'. Dirty Weekend is the appropriately named new mix from the Plumps, containing dance floor focused music from recent Plump inspirations The Loops of Fury, Detboi, Reset!, Nom De Strip, Blatta&Inesha, Urchins and Will Bailey. Plus sterling exclusive remixes from longtime compadres NAPT, Stanton Warriors and Peo De Pitte. Axon Recordings boss Che Armstrong is back with another superb release, and his second of 2013. Back in January, we saw the release of 'Dexter' which gained some nice feedback and support from the likes of Jaytech, Slam, Tilt and many others.

Che's latest offering is 'Too Much', which edges towards tech house territory, while still allowing his progressive and techno influences shine through. Che has created a great percussive groove, coupled with a tasty bass line. The 'too much' vocal samples really work well, as well as the atmospheric pads in the breakdown.

Remix duties fall to Axon regular Eliogold, who we feel has done an amazing job. This remix has a great deep house vibe, while remaining versatile enough to work for a lot of DJs. Eliogold is definitely a name to watch in 2013!

Lord knows DJs need TOOLS. And lord definitely knows that sometimes all a superclub needs to kick into full throttle mayhem is a perfect kick drum, a handful of claps, and some well-timed hiss. Anything more is unnecessary, and cramps the DJs ability to inject his own knob-wrangling and layering skills on top. All of the impact - none of the vulgar, desperate crap. None of it. So that's what we've got here: five high-grade minimal bangers, that let you, the DJ, shine.

Dutch duo TWR72 are the artists in question, dutifully delivering tracks that will make you better at your job. Emerging in 2010 with a sound Radio 1 dubbed 'Future Techno,' their first records got heavyweight support from Erol Alkan, Len Faki, Brodinski, Modeselektor, and even Tiga.

This is just the beginning for TWR72 on Turbo, as they have an ambitious release slated for late-summer. Stay tuned.

Turbo continues to explore edgy new territory with this set of absolutely lethal techno jackers from one of Bristol's hottest new talents: joeFarr. Distorted vocal hooks and massively overdriven drum tracks swing over rave-shattering synths. 'CLOCK' has been a major weapon in Tiga's recent DJ sets and has been charted by Dave Clarke, with more big names dying to get their hands on it but unable - it's just that exclusive.

This is raw, fear-inducing UK warehouse at it's finest, and a big step forward for the developing New Jack Techno genre.

joeFarr has recently remixed Zombie Nation as well as Tiga, and in addition to his work on Turbo is releasing a pair of tracks on Belfast-based DSNT featuring remixes from Truss and Tessela.
