bandits - this song has a bit cold story. I made this as an intro to an EP a year ago....which I kept touching up here and there, but I knew that I needed to save this track for this project. Maybe i'll continue this EP and make a few tracks to tie it together a bit..we'll see how things pan out. Story/inspiration for this one is a bit on the cold side I guess. It was rainy in LA one day(rain is rare here). I usually make music with the windows open so natural sounds outside inspire me. I wanted the setting to be some kind of a robbery or some kind of tense situation (as I heard sirens non-stop every day that I lived there), which would then somehow transform into a beat/rhythm of some sort.  Then.. i turned it into an actual beat. I wanted to tell a story using a scenario and build from there. The story goes like this..bandits are in a car holding a guy hostage..they're making him drive them to a bank for a robbery, as soon as the bandit says 'pull over' the 3rd time, his phone rings, and right at that moment they get hit by a cop car which then turns into the beat...the beat, representing the 'big accident'. Really happy with how it came out as its something different and really felt like a special beat.
