The Boy That We Built

Written at the tail end of February 2024 and recorded in March, this song attempts to look into the (probably not too distant) future and imagine the development of a relationship between person and machine. 

This has been explored before in a number of our favourite films (we're suckers for sci-fi), but this is our version of the story. It was enjoyable to build up the textures and create something that felt organic while melded with more electronic sounds, and the one chord middle 8 was a challenge to incorporate a euphoric enough solo, but we think this works.

Just to make things clear, this song was written by people, although writing that seems suspicious doesn't it? I guess you're going to have to take our word for it - in a way this is quite fitting for the theme of the song.
