A collaborative project between Toronto producers Astrolope (Paul Geldart) and Waxlimbs (Alex Metcalfe), Little Maps is a departure from the typically arduous processes the two musicians are used to working with. Composed over the period of a year, the work partially reflects on the many changes that have occurred in the lives of the two.

Little Maps is an experiment in spontaneity and musical impulse, playfully exploring a variety of textures, colours and moods. The record situates itself between a hazy, alien dream world and a warm, familiar summer night. Trying to get away from taking itself too seriously, it acts as a sort of “game,” with all of its light and dark moments injected through vibrant and mischievous production.
