Toolroom Records welcomes London-based duo Tough Love for their debut release on the label, ‘Dreams’, including outstanding remixes by Panda, Audiowhores and Amtrac.

Tough Love are rapidly rising through the ranks of the UK House scene. Their energetic and bass-heavy DJ sets have created a cult following of hardcore fans across London and beyond. Favourites on Radio 1 and London’s Rinse FM, their productions are regularly supported by Pete Tong, B-Traits, MistaJam, Target and more, with respect coming from DJs such as Duke Dumont, Solomun, Amine Edge & DANCE, Kenny Dope, Kolombo and Hannah Wants.

With many successful releases under their belt via their own Get Twisted imprint, Tough Love step up and deliver a sure-fire summer hit with the unforgettable ‘Dreams’. With a nod to the classic Korg M1 and influences of Garage circa ’95 alongside its catchy vocal hook, ‘Dreams’ is set to take hold during this Deep House renaissance. 

On the remix tip and with support from Annie Mac, Panda deliver one of their most stand-out remixes to date, building on the uplifting piano sound of the same period, & synonymous with their own sound, they have created a sure fire winner for the summer season.

Fresh from their club hit, ‘No Honey’, Audiowhores return to Toolroom to deliver a deep yet driving, stripped-back take on the original, one of the stand out tracks of Sonar, this is set to take over the more underground dance floors & afterparties worldwide.

The Dream

Paris based duo Andonian returns to Moodfamily for a fully glowing EP consisting of two original cuts and one remix by the enchanting Vaal.

The title track leads you straight to the set of Carnivale. Seductive vocals whisper the main theme as a nifty beat supports a broiling bass line. Up and comer VAAL once again showcases her undeniable raw and pure talent with her interpretation of 'Sometimes You Fall'. After a hypnotic opening score, a stagnant groove leads to a high point, ending in an overwhelming joint effort of different synth themes. This contemporary view on electro from the robotic 80's is a true bombshell.

'Citizen' closes the package and displays Andonian's gentle side. This one seems to boil with a hint of curiosity. It's a contagious track with an intricate arrangement, sudden shifts and a complex yet intriguing melody. This debut EP is a statement, coherent yet different, timeless yet contemporary and manages to remain bold and astonishing.

We’re happy to announce Stavroz’s first EP on Moodfamily: 'Silent Spring'. Having already released on labels such as Bedrock, Wired and Délicieuse Musique, the Belgian band is ready for their highly anticipated follow up, delivering an EP ready for sunscreen and ripe for the picking. 

In the title track, frivolous bass guitars accompany a broadly shouldered melody and gently carry the track to glory while a snug piano hides in the breaks, building a beautiful contrast. 'A Great Day to Fly a Kite' brings horns straight from miles high, happily intertwining with a ruthless groove, pushing the atmosphere and delivering a quirky impact on the dance floor. 'Should've brought an Umbrella' graciously closes the EP with a touching - and at the same time organic sound.

The 80’s were the decade that several electronic music genres were developed including Techno,
House and Freestyle. That decade was a time of evolution in music and in particular in ’87 when Johnny
Logan won Eurovision, Whitney Houston was the 1st female in the Billboard 100 and Guns & Roses
released “Appetite for destruction” which would become one of the best selling albums of all time. It
was in that magical year that Pete O’Deep was born!
Pete’s childhood was aligned with the growth of House and Techno into international success in the
90’s and at the age of 6, when Pete discovered his love for music, Prince turned his name into The
Symbol.
Only five years later, at the age of 11, Pete started to make his own mixes.
The following years Pete grew into a man with a passionate heart and a musical soul and by the time
Adèle’s number “Rolling in the Deep” became n°1 in The Billboard year end Hot 100 things started
rolling for Pete O’Deep too.
With deep basses, melodic leads and uplifting percussion Pete learned to express his authentic
feelings with his music and started making his own tracks.
When in 2016 Pete received the most beautiful gift a man can get by becoming a father his dedication
to bring up his young child made him focus on creating a music filled home more than performing on
stages and in clubs. Soon he realized that his boy Lian inherited his love for music and that made him
decide that he had to bring his passion again to a higher level to fulfill his dreams and thereby showing
his son he can too one day.
So when in 2019 Lian started going to school Pete found it was time to launch himself to a higher
level of recognition and played his 1st releases live in Ibiza!!

Pete varies in his sets and takes you from Ibiza over Berlin to New York. With sultry beats and soaring melodies to energetic soulfull afro house and danceable funky tech house. Even the deeper melodic techno records can be reviewed. This is always finely tuned to the needs of the crowd to let them go completely crazy.

In his own productions Pete is always looking to express his authentic
feelings. Therefore he uses deep basses, melodic leads and uplifting percussion Pete learned to speak with his music in a different way.
