Han kom først ind i buret som 14-årig. Siden har han kæmpet sig vej op fra League 2 til toppen af Premier League. Men 34-årige Kasper Schmeichel har aldrig været mere ærgerrig, end han er nu. 

Han har heller ikke sat mere pris på tilværelsen, end han gør nu. Ikke mindst takket være samtaler med Lars Høgh. Derfor er han taknemlig for, at han – modsat så mange andre – kan gå på arbejde. Men det er ikke det samme uden fans. Og den seneste tid har han fået genopfrisket, hvor meget fans betyder for ham og for fodbolden.
