Months pass by, the days get shorter, winds get colder, and we move inside: winter is club season. To celebrate a fantastic year and prep for the winter, we’ve bundled up 11 dancefloor heaters mixed by Israel Vich to kick off the club season and showcase another side of Poesie. First up we get a fully body massage from Cherry with his delightfully rousing ‘Don’t You Wanna’ before Cascandy takes us on a retro-esque ride through his percussive fields and Guitars. Israel’s own ‘Cherry Strasse’ gives us a warm summer vibe, transplanting us back to the open-airs and long nights of past. Poesie resident Koelle also drops a heavy load, ‘Talking to Good’, while Marco Tequi and Night Vision team with vocalist Jinadu for a hauntingly beautiful instant-classic ‘Hear My Words’. We’d rather not spoil the rest for you, but we’re thrilled to have this amazing year together, and look forward a bright new year!

We fell in love with Halsey the first time we heard her never mind seeing what she looked like. Her records are killer, and 'Ghost' was one of them that truly stood out as soon as we heard it. When we were working on it we were lucky enough to be down in the carribean soaking in the sun, so we definitely were inspired by the vibes that were around us. Definitely a bit of a new territory for us, but we were excited to try something new. Be on the look out for a bunch of new releases!

Essential Mix - BBC Radio 1

DJ Seinfeld presents an immersive EP exploring the balance between fragility and force. Sakura EP is out on Deep Sea Frequency in April. 
The four tracks draw from a multitude of inﬂuences. Breaks, electro, dub and trance elements band together with a familiar lo-ﬁ approach where distortion acts as an instrument of its own.
Title track "Sakura" is a subaquatic dose of old school electro with swollen bass and fuzzy harmonics. Sagrada brandishes swirling melodies with layers of detail whilst Belvedere uses looped breaks and a sub-driven bassline to build animated funk. Battery rounds out the EP playing with delicate melodic inﬂections over a cavernous low end.

Premiere: Ceas - Ecume (Koelle Remix) [Ton Töpferei]

When Fouk & Glenn Astro remix a new artist you know what the vibe is: Dirty DIY house with a heavy funk vibe. 
Mangabey is the new kid on the Toy Tonics family and he is a master of this style. He lives in Lyon/ France (and is a good friend of Folamour who remixed his first EP on Toy Tonics some months ago). 
But Mangabey takes the whole new Funk-House sound to another level. While many of his colleagues work with samples, Mangabey studied Jazz piano and collects vintage synths. And so he plays most of the stuff himself and bring in a lot of personality.
His works could remind the vibe of New York Soul House from the 1990ies or the sounds from the West London scene from 20 years ago, but definitely he adds a modern, edgy touch to it.

Mangabey aka Jose Fehner is an interesting personality: Born in the south of France in a family of traveling artists. As a kid he has been living on a boat and in caravans, traveling France and Africa with a wild theater collective directed by his parents who are actors. Later he went to music university and now finally, by age of 22, he lives in Lyon. Lyon is becoming France’ second music town.  The town that has the most vibrant club and producer scene right now. So, yes:  There is a lot to come from there… a lot from Mangabey.

Russian producer Nocow returns to Rekids with an enthralling full-length album entitled ‘Atoner’ this November.

Real name Aleksei Nikitin, Nocow is known for his versatility, producing a large body of genre spanning work on labels like Clone Royal Oak, Figure, Fauxpas Musik, Gost Zvuk and Styrax. The St. Petersburg-based producer debuted on Rekids last year with his ‘Samaya Dolgaya Noch’ EP, a mellow release complete with vocal driven cuts as well as 2-step rhythms, and now returns with a myriad of productions in a fourteen track album entitled ‘Atoner’.

‘Atoner’ opens with an eponymous track that gently unravels with soaring synths and subtle percussion before Nocow’s voice emerges alongside twinkling atmospherics in ‘Complie’. Throughout the long player are also intricately produced short tracks sitting between the two and three-minute mark such as looping vocal number ‘Dancerecter’, the melodic and rattling ‘Leto’ and ominous ‘Delore’.

Ostanovitsa’ is a murky offering featuring a meandering organ riff, leading into the pitter-patter drums and serene chords of ‘Starveme (feat. Tayut Ogni)’. ‘Come Along’ is a crystalline and otherworldly experience from start to finish, whilst ‘Melting Lights’ is comprised of echoing, subterranean sounds, making way for reverberating snares and metallic stabs in ‘Standalone’.

Husky murmurs and soothing notes then make up ‘Neva’, moving into the syncopated beat and idyllic chord sequences in ‘Can’t Get Enough’ ahead of ‘Stonecold’ and its icy aesthetic. Finally, the album reaches a mesmerising conclusion with the spellbinding ‘Footer’.

The new label will be a "vehicle for personal experimentation" and the esteemed producer's first release on MPLX solidifies its ethos. 'Mutant Romance' leads off the EP with a grooving rhythm that lays the foundation for a euphoric and emotive melody building as cosmic stabs pierce through a resounding bass.
