The seventh installment of their acclaimed iTunes Dance Chart-topping series sees Anjunadeep showcase the label’s sound across two discs of cinematic house, techno and electronica, taking the listener on a sprawling journey through the deeper waters of electronic music. 

The first part of the double mix kicks off with beautiful electronica from label favourites and new faces alike such as Esteble, Dems, Solomon Grey, Jody Wisternoff and 16 Bit Lolitas, before burning slowly through exclusive new tracks from Yotto, Lancelot and Lane 8. Disc 1 closes with deep gems from label stalwarts Kahwe, John Monkman and Vincenzo. 

 Part 2 of the compilation moves is a sublime showcase of the labels deep dancefloor sound, beginning with gentle melodies from Croquet Club, Ryan Davis and Cubicolor, before trippy contributions from Dave DK and Maribou State blend darker atmospherics with warm lush melodies from Matthias Vogt, Dusky and Lancelot. New additions to the label roster Moon Boots and Way Out West lead us through mesmeric textures and hands-in-the-air moments to a fitting finale - Global Communication’s first new material in 18 years.

The Anjunadeep Edition 134 With Tinlicker

Nurturing and promoting fresh and exciting talents has always been an integral part of the Proton Music mission statement. With the Netherlands a creative hotbed for the entire dance music industry, it is therefore with great pleasure that we welcome Deeparture to the label with his outstanding "Flight of Imagination" EP.

From the cultural hub, Amsterdam resident, Dominique Vijverberg, has risen rapidly among the ranks of the underground dance community in double quick time. Carefully building a reputation for exquisitely crafted and innovatively programmed dance music, using his Deeparture production soubriquet, Vijverberg, has already caught the attention of the industry's most celebrated names.

Early work for a clutch of imprints saw the Dutch producer dabble in the world of electronic music. However, it was with the airline industry inspired, "Purcer EP", for Dutch imprint, WEITER, in March 2017, that the Deeparture sound really began as Vijverberg took centre stage. Commanding attention with a pair of tracks that have been supported by the likes Hernan Cattaneo, Guy Mantzur and fellow countryman, Eelke Kleijn, the Deeparture name took off with soaring success.

With a forthcoming release on Cinematique to come, Proton Music now opens the door on a promising new career for the Dutch talent, as the twin track "Flight of Imagination" EP showcases Deeparture's extraordinary talent.

Inspired by a holiday in the central Cuban city, "Trinidad" is full of the joyous melodic flair that has become a staple of the Deeparure sound. A sunlit vocal phrase combines with melodic riffs and sequences in a rich blend of counterpoint. Coupled with a dominant beat and open hi-hat percussive rhythm, a soaring breakdown provides the perfect counterweight for a grooving dance floor gem.

Partner track, "Dreamliner", takes its vision from the Boeing 787 aircraft of the same name. Similarly redolent in the percussive groove of its predecessor, a melodic riff full of earworm ingenuity sits alongside elegant chord progressions and sublime floor-filling bass line. As the melodic sequences evolve across the seven-minute flight, Deeparture's skill is brought fully to the fore in a work that is replete with a joyous vibrancy that epitomises his technique and flair.

Deeparture's "Flight of Imagination" is sure to signal a voyage of success with two tracks of the highest quality.

blaktone is back to Sincopat after their successful appearance in our BeenTouched series. Kepler Effect is the name of the EP including three original tracks by the talented duo from St. Petersburgh plus a solid by remix by techno heroes Teenage Mutants.
The opening track 'Definition of Love' is a crazy and organic burner that will leave the club completely devastated. It is a non-stop track where the sinister items and the hypnotic mood are presented in a perfect balance. Teenage Mutants takes the track to their perspective and offer another win that proves the talent of this German duo.'Uma I' is also a huge bomb for the dancefloor with the surprising synth after the breakdown. 'Last Train' is a delicate piece that takes to the next level the vocal electronic music, and a proof of this is the fantastic closing with the Ambient Mix.

Catching Flies presents 'Silver Linings Remixed', a remix album featuring versions of tracks from his debut album reimagined by DJ Seinfeld, Andhim, Soundbwoy Killah, Laurence Guy, Ron Basejam, Freddie Joachim, Grandbrothers and more.

Sequenced by Catching Flies into a flowing narrative arc, the remixes come from some of the producer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ's favorite artists, hand picked by him to transform 'Silver Linings' into an alternate version.

"I sat down and wrote a list of everyone I’d been listening to over the last few years but then everything had to fit together and develop in a way that felt like a journey rather than a bunch of remixes chucked together. I wanted it to have an arc, to start in the headphones and end in the club. It's so fun to hear tracks with my favourite artists' take on them.”

Typically wide ranging on genre, the mood progresses from ambient soundscapes to hip hop beats, deep disco and house to breakbeats and emotive techno. Linking the album together includes a new Catching Flies track 'Daymarks', a "Part 2" version of 'Yu' which features a transatlantic rap collaboration between the UK's Jehst and US's Blu (of Blu and Exile fame) and his own "Ambient Reprise" of 'Satisfied'.

George King began Catching Flies in late 2012, drawing inspiration from a wide-ranging palette of music including jazz, soul, hip-hop, house and electronica. His debut album ‘Silver Linings’ was released in July 2019 and was hailed as "a soundtrack to summertime" by The 405 and awarded Album of the Month by Future Music who described it as "a brilliantly eclectic record…a moving journey that will last long in the memory". Clash Magazine praised the LP’s "killer beats" and "artfully orchestrated introspection" whilst London In Stereo praised its "exceptional production". Other coverage for the album included The Guardian, Complex, Dazed & Confused, and Nowness, with radio support across BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, Worldwide FM and more. Artist support for ‘Silver Linings’ has come from the likes of Bonobo, Jungle (BBC Radio One Residency), George Fitzgerald and Lane 8. His ever growing fanbase has seen him perform live and DJ sets across the UK, Europe, USA and Asia.

Not six months after their last outing on Get Physical, Monkey Safari are back with two more of their perfectly playful house tunes. 

For the best part of the last decade now, Lars Rühlemann and Sven Fröhlich have been serving up a quirky and curious take on house music that has brought real character to the dance floor. They have put out three absorbing full-lengths as well as almost thirty EPs, and have made their Hommage label a vital one in the process. Get Physical has also become a regular home for them and they come correct on the German label once more here. 

Opener 'Palomar' is a superbly slow-burning house bubbler. The lush drums get you in the groove then exotic vocals rise out of the mix next to lush chords to infuse you with real soul. It's a track to get the whole floor under a majestic spell. 

Second offering 'Artifact' is a more tribal tinged tech house tune with rolling snares and chunky drums. Chanting vocals join the mix to pump the groove even more and make this the sort of endless house groove to lock crowds in the moment. 

These are two more hugely effective and charismatic tunes from Monkey Safari.

Welcome back, Mr. Novodisc! After two highly successful single releases put on the circuit via Formatik Records in 2017 and 2018 respectively the Malaga / Spain-based producer is finally making a return with two razor sharp club bangers for the next indoor season.

With „Kiss Ass“ the Spaniard is delivering a clear musical statement for all peaktime players out there, fusing a piercing, metallic foundation with large scale reverberating and big room Techno-referencing bassdrums as well as hefty percussion rolls and a strobe-lit, laser rave attitude to surely set any venues' roof on fire within seconds.

Furthermore the subsequent title track „Dancing“ sees Novodisc shifting gears to enter the upper tempo range of the club music spectrum. Providing a distinct and highly seductive bassline groove, raw midrange rave riff and sharp, shuffled hi-hats alongside a killer Acid line and high octane drops this one's is gonna take jam-packed venues by storm within seconds. Massive.
