Jamil Glenn also known as, “Poet Jamil” or "B' Ham's Poet", is an African American poet. He is also a self taught photographer of his company E.J. Glenn Photography. He is also known as, “B’ Ham’s Shoota” amongst creatives from the Hip Hop and Poetry community.

As a poet his desire is to be not just a poet, but an influence, a catalyst for change and a supporter of creatives art. Whether it be through music, poetry or paintings.  He believes that the creative arts contains the power to work as a catapult to improve society.

As one of his favorite Haiku’s reads, “It’s a crazy world. Poets are heroes without capes. The arts saves the day.”

Poet Jamil was born in Birmingham, Alabama on the Westside. His literary work reflects his southern roots and godly core values pass to him from his parents and grandmother. At the time of his upbringing, the neighborhood he lived in, on Lee Avenue, was a fun place to live despite the negativity that surrounded it. He played Basketball and many of the traditional childhood activities that children played.

He was first introduced to Hip Hop & R&B through the Box Music Network, 9.57 Jamz and 107.7 WENN. He also has a love for southern gospel and R&B/Soul hits of the 70s that was introduced to him by his parents and Uncles. He also loves to listen to saxophonists, pianists, violinist and hip hop producers samples with live instruments.

Poet Jamil was influenced to start writing poetry once he discovered that his oldest sister wrote poetry. His mother also wrote poetry as well as plays for the youth in the local church and her favorite subject was English. Her gift of creativity was a transcendental blessing. 

Poet Jamil, became heavily involved in the arts and writing poetry as he got older. He started performing at open mic events and the Historic Bards & Brews hosted by the legendary Brian "Voice" Porter Hawkins and Miss Candice Hardy with the Birmingham Public Library.

Poet Jamil's literary work also highlights the many creatives, artists and leaders both past and present from his city and beyond. He loves uplifting,  encouraging, motivating, promoting and supporting those positive people that are on the similar road that he himself is traveling. 

As a photographer, he has launched a book entitled, “B’ Ham Creatives” in volumes highlighting the many Hip Hop artists, Poets, Painters, Dancers and singers throughout the South starting with his city first.

"Jane Doe Hipsta” was born and raised in the 7th Ward area of New Orleans, Louisiana. She began writing at the tender age of 6. She had her first mystery book published at the age of 9 by her 4th grade teacher. Throughout her childhood she took part in all aspects of the arts including dance, music, art & drama classes. She currently has a book out now with fellow author & poet John Lacabiere III "Word Connections" Part II which includes herself, Mr. Lacabiere & several other writers & poets from around the world. The book is avaliable for purchase on Amazon & Barnes & Noble. 

Jane Doe has also appeared in  several artists videos & songs from the New Orleans metropolitan area but it wasn’t until 2012 that her career began to take off. 

In 2012 she met spoken word/hip-hip artist/poet/author Tony Wilson while working at a local coffee shop/event venue. They began writing poetry & music together & Mr. Wilson asked her to join his hip-hop group & entertainment company Team Vision. She joined & released several short videos & films with the group. She performed & traveled with them heavily in 2014. The group released their 1st mixtape entitled "8 Faces" which was released via dat piff. The group released 3 singles & videos "Take that From me", "H.A.T.E.R.S.", and "Pac Heat". The group received lots of attention on the internet, social media & the local music scene. But the group decided to part ways & continue with their own solo careers. 

After the group disbanded she focused more on acting. She landed background roles in  the hit TV series “Treme”, NCIS New Orleans & Queen Sugar. 

She often calls herself a "Rich Hipster" which simply means "Rich at heart & Rich in art". Rich Hipster is a brand & record label started by Grammy Award winning RnB/Soul/Jazz singer Chrisette Michele. Chrisette mentored Jane in Artist development, branding & marketing for an entire year.  Chrisette’s development has helped her career even further. She attributes much of her success to the foundation Chrisette taught her about the music business.
