Emerging from the Los Angeles beat scene alongside peers like Flying Lotus and Daedelus, TOKiMONSTA is known for her experimental sound, which blurs the lines between electronic music, hip-hop, R&B and soul. Most recently, TOKiMONSTA has released her seventh album, ‘Eternal Reverie,’ and celebrated the 10-year anniversary of her label, Young Art Records, where she showcases her A&R savvy and nurtures artists like Rochelle Jordan and Cakes Da Killa. In this exclusive interview, TOKiMONSTA talks about returning to her musical roots, spinning SoundCloud successes into something bigger, making art as a form of therapy and much more.
