Kicking off our new series of free releases is a double whammy of UK Garage goodness courtesy of Essex based producer MCLO. Lewis Simms AKA MCLO has been carving out a steady supply of swinging, rolling UKG bangers; with his tracks 'Gems' (Released on Supersize) and 'Da Bomb' (Self Release) putting him on our radar.
 
This 2 part release features tracks How Low Can You Go and I'll Be Fine; two atmospheric, yet punchy UK Garage groova's. We asked Mclo a few questions to get to know the upcoming producer and supplier of these two banging first tracks of the series. Glasgow-based and with Dutch roots, Jøhannes strives to create a sound that pushes boundaries. Combining a collection of music that spans decades from across the globe, his mantra is strong - if it can make the people dance, it deserves to be played.

An established pianist and guitarist, he has spent many years engrossed in music, considering the intricacies of what makes memorable moments through his experience from learning, observing and performing. This shines through in both his abilities as a DJ and through his productions - combining a multitude of themes and genres, sometimes in sync and sometimes opposing, to create a truly memorable product. He has taken great pride in doing so whilst playing in clubs across Scotland and France, such as the Tunnels, La Cheetah and Sub Club.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Mall Grab, Bicep, HAAi, DJ EZ, Huerta, Kerri Chandler, Nightwave and Laurent Garnier, Jøhannes strives to make every show a unique, emotive and expressive performance. There may be soul, there may be sensuality, there may be swagger - rest assured that you'll remember it for a long time.

ShvdwKat is a Charlotte, NC based DJ/Producer who's love for nostalgia is apparent. She loves to reach back into the past and pull sounds and tracks that tickle that little part of your brain and brings back the "good old days". She pulls influence from numerous genres like punk, metal, industrial, swing and even classical.

Originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, she got started playing in punk bands and metal bands. She started DJing not long after that and fell in love. After moving to Charlotte in 2014 she decided to take a break and return to college where she earned her degree in film. She then met some new friends and together they started The ChEM Lab, The Charlotte Electronic Music Lab. She has been focused much more lately on production, sharpening her skills and putting out new music.
