Andrés, DJ Seinfeld & Osunlade make up the second EP of remixes from the Trus'me Planet 4 LP. Andrés steps up in fine form with a beautifully subtle take on Dark Flow. He expertly brightens the original, accentuating the strings & rolling an addictive break into the mix. Reminiscent of his early KDJ releases. Classic Andrés! Man of the moment DJ Seinfeld takes Here & Now and revamps it into a intriguingly restrained & evocative piece. Almost a refrain. Everything is stripped back and sonically twisted. He coaxes the track with shuffling, smudged drums & ethereal piano whilst the mood is deepened by dusty & distorted layers. Finally So High is treated to an outstanding Yoruba Soul treatment. Osunlade bends things to his will, losing the insistence of the original. He deftly finds space in the groove, adding ear worm keys & creating a wonderful warmth with economic dubs.

World Of The Waking State is Steffi's third solo album for Ostgut Ton and a musical departure for both her and the label. It's also a serious statement of intent. Over ten tracks she embarks on entirely new electronic terrain for her productions, marking industrial spaces with superlunary warmth while exercising a refined knowledge of polyphony and arrangement. Subdued melodies interact with each other over implied harmonies and microcosmic drum patterns, luring us into a world that is introverted, bewildering and gratifying all at once.

Steffi - Different Entities

Not only is mike "father of the year", but he also has records. Deep crates, as they say. MIKE FEEL LOVE will keep the chin scratchers at bay for a while, seeing as the original cover has zero internet presence. It will also keep the dancers happy. A scrappy little edit keeping the sloppy instrumentation in tact, because it's the best part of the song. Drums fall out of time, or drop out altogether. The synth arps fall out of synch which makes you wonder if that's an arpeggiator, or some maniac playing live. The other side is a very old edit Mike dusted off and is guaranteed to make the chin scratchers take a bathroom break- seeing as it is a top 40 hit from the 70s. Which doesn't mean it's not a burner.

Those of you paying attention (or even those of you with your fingers in your ears - we've been shouting about it for months now!) will have heard our ninth release on Ransom Note Records - the magnificent summertime afrobeats smash hit 'I Like Your Girlfriend' by Bryte and Gafacci. This Ghanaian word-of-mouth classic has been knocking about as a poor quality video rip for a while now, but we're ensuring it finally gets the 12" release it deserves.

When we started thinking about remix duties, we knew we had to get our brother Bawrut to step up to the plate for this one, and of course he didn't disappoint. His triumphant, tropical acid rework is centred on a funky bassline which slithers around Bryte's catchy vocals. Everything we love all in one place.
