q. please introduce yourself
a. Hello, there - my name is Mónica Mesa. Sometimes I release music under the moniker doris dana, and 1/2 of bad lsd trips. I was born in Colombia and currently reside somewhere between the swamp and the desert.

q. is there a story behind the mix?
a. I have been exploring voices since January and have found myself falling into rabbit holes - I would say that this mix is very much a reflection of that research.

q. what’s the best way to enjoy your mix?
a. Either take it for a night drive, or lay on the floor, turn on your night lamp, put your headphones on, and stare at the ceiling fan.

q. describe a favorite object in your living room...
a. My favorite object in the living room is a Space Age Sputnik lamp from the '60s that I found at a thrift store. It looks like a projector lamp with glass wands sticking out of it. The lamp never gets warm, which blows me away.

q. are you working on any projects right now (music or not music)?
a. I have a couple of albums set to be released later this year, and I’m about to start a new residency at Radio TNP that I'm really looking forward to. Additionally, I’m preparing for a cross-country move from the swamp to be closer to the desert, weirdly... my happy place.

Ultrademon, real name Lilium Redwine, is an experimental musician and researcher exploring the intersections of electronic music, archaeo-acoustics, and prehistoric archaeology. Active for over two decades, she first emerged in the early 2010s on Aphex Twin's Rephlex Records. Her work spans exhibitions, performances, and collaborative projects, often drawing on her background in archaeology and engaging with themes of the underworld. In recent years, she has moved beyond emotionally driven dance music, incorporating black metal vocals, waves of distortion, and atmospheric, narrative-driven textures into her albums and performances.
