Risen from Istanbul’s underground in 2016, Anatolian Sessions is conquering the scene with his signature style, a dreamful blend of Anatolian music, eclectic and spiritual elements and electronic music. His music caught the interest of imprints such as Akumandra, Art Vibes Music, Buddha-Bar, Pipe & Pochet or Souq Records.

Today the restless producer and DJ has made his clear mark in Istanbul’s deep house scene and started with first international appearances. Definitely one to keep an eye on!

Our single-track release series, 'Freebie', includes one of his productions, in fact, Dolph remixed the original 'Shakana' by Steffen Kirchhoff. So, for this 158th edition we're having again his irresistible production and now getting to know more about his selection, nevertheless, this time with a long session of two hours. Never ever did I ever imagine playing at the Museum of Pop Culture, where those who have set the path of inspiration for me are celebrated -- Prince, The Beatles, Jimi among others. damn. I have little words. Thrilled to have done my first pilot of audio and visuals a complete and epic journey, triggering the senses. Today we welcome a true storyteller behind the Schirmchendrink counter: DERSU honors Schirmchendrink with his sensational cocktail named “Between the Sheets”!

It was many months back when we got in contact and first listened one of DERSU’s sets. This one was called Africa. As fans of beautifully crafted DJ mixes it was clear that we wanted him on the show.  

DERSU is a creative mastermind telling stories trough film, animation, design, and music. His career led him from sports apparel design to art, film and music. He discovered his passion for the latter as creator of Witness This, an art and culture magazine. 

His most recent projects include NightCause, a monthly dance party on the West side of L.A. where 100% of the proceeds are donated to charity, and, Wish You Were Here, a daytime party series in Venice Beach. He also is one half of the duo Peace in Noise.

Between the Sheets covers many emotions and moods, it's deep and taps into a more industrial and minimal berlin sound, with touches of spiritual and also very heart filling anthems near the end. 

You can literally tap into the emotions as it’s reflecting DERSU’s personal journey as of lately: challenging, scary, dark while also being incredibly beautiful, expansive and light.

DS03 Realm Of Dreams

Cortisol levels start to rise approximately 2-3 hours after sleep onset and continue to rise into the early morning and early waking hours. The peak in cortisol is about 9 a.m. As the day continues, levels decline gradually. With the onset of sleep, cortisol continues to decline until the nadir.

DS04 High Levels Of Cortisol

A daily recurring brain state and state of consciousness in which an individual is conscious and engages in coherent cognitive and behavioral responses to the external world. Being awake is the opposite of the state of being asleep in which most external inputs to the brain are excluded from neural processing.

This is the last music compilation set of "Dreamscape" we hope you enjoyed the journey through the realms of the sleeping mind. Always be thankful for waking up every morning and don't forget to be yourself.
