His first gig as a Dj was back in the late 90s while going to college in Funkytown (Forth Worth), TX. He was a regular at local bars and played across different genres. Then he stepped out of the scene to focus on family & Business, but 4 years ago he rediscovered his passion for music & performing

His sound has no boundaries.  In his live sets and productions, you will find a reflection of his diverse upbringing and taste. Electronic World Music moving across different genres would be the best way to interpret his sound.

His live sets will get you moving and through a journey of different emotions. A true storyteller

Besides the traditional DJ set, he also performs Hybrid sets to include more of his personal touch and live creativity.

Currently, he is a resident of the Radio Venao brand in Panama City. Where he has been a part of their lineups for events including important international and local artists. He has released 6 production tracks and also last year launched his own brand: Boutique Sessions.

Within the last few months, he has also released a podcast for the brand's Cirque Noir & Hot Situations based in the USA. On his SoundCloud, you can also find his own released sets including the very special Sunset Series

For our second episode, we proudly present to you Daniel Steinfels. 

A DJ and Producer from Pforzheim, Germany that has releases on labels such as Neuzeit from Munich, Deep Electronics and Kollektiv LieBe e.V.

In 2015, he founded his own label Tonal., that showcases artists like Landhouse & Raddantze, Xanducero Yolanda Frei and Alaix Pulse. In the Summer of 2018,  Daniel will release a Compilation with tracks from Landhouse, Yolanda Frei, Christian Hülshoff, DISCOSHAMAN, Deep Ändi, Nijland Gerstenberg, Lütt Matten and many more Artists.

On this set, he delivers an exquisite performance that ranges from intelligent melodic techno to  downtempo-ambient gems. 

Kollektiv Liebe is dedicated to electronic music and boisterous celebration. Together, the association plans spacey events like the past Galactronica in the Fleischmarkthalle. There was not only techno and love but also art to see. The members talk about the socially distorted image of the scene, what is important to them in celebration, and why we all should embrace each other more often on the dance floor.

It's time to wake up to a gem... Deer Jade is one of our most favourite DJs at the moment. Nothing feels more refreshing than to be around a being that has found his or her passion in life, especially when that passion is music. 

Find yourself in a few hours that we have recorded at her show for Wild as the Moon. We gave her the second room as her playground, a free space where she could take our crowd on a journey for hours. 

It was probably one of the most memorable performances in that room.. We can't wait for this wonderful human to return to the decks and fortunately this will be at The Monastery.

Let's beat the downward spiral of a Monday and enjoy this day fully.. Happiness is inside you.

Das Spukhaus

Wir stehen andächtig schweigend vor dem Haus. Ohne Frage handelt es sich bei diesem Gebäude um ein ganz besonderes Exemplar. Es liegt weit ab vom Rest des Dorfes, am Rande einer unbefestigten Straße. Das Haus ist groß, alt und windschief. Sämtliche Fensterläden sind geschlossen und die weißen Gardinen vergilbt und verstaubt. Trotz der aufziehenden, nächtlichen Dunkelheit brennt kein Licht in diesem Haus, es sieht  einfach nur vergessen, verloren und verlassen aus. 
Kurzerhand gehen meine zwei Mitstreiter und ich zur Tür und betätigen die Klingel. Es läutet einmal, zweimal ... Nichts, absolut nichts rührt sich und es erhärtet sich unser Verdacht, dass das Gemäuer verlassen ist. Entschlossen rüttle ich an der Klinke, doch es ist abgeschlossen. Also umrunden wir erst einmal das Haus und begutachten akribisch unseren Fund. Auf der zur Straße geneigten Seite des Hauses ist ein kopfgroßes Loch in der Wand. Ich leuchte mit meiner Taschenlampe in die Öffnung und erspähe den Grundriss eines Kellers. Auf dem Boden türmt sich Schütt & Geröll und auf einem modrigen Regal stehen alte Einmachgläser, mit einem unidentifizierbaren Inhalt. Behutsam schleichen wir weiter ums Haus und entdecken auf der Rückseite einen mit  Holz vernagelten, in das Haus integrierten Schuppen. Vorsichtig klopfe ich dagegen und riskiere einen Blick hinein. Etwas erstaunt registriere ich, dass auf der mir gegenüberliegenden Seite ein altes, in seine Einzelteile zerlegtes Auto steht. Etwas Irritiert und doch hochmotiviert, gelangen wir schleichend zur letzten Hauswand. Dort erwartet uns eine, gut einen Meter über dem Boden, in die Mauer eingelassene und vor sich hin rottende Holzvertäfelung. Meine nächtlichen Gefährten & ich tauschen kurz einen Blick aus, nicken uns zu und beginnen die morschen Bretter auseinander zu drücken. Anfänglich geschieht nichts, wir erhöhen unsere Kraftanstrengungen und jeder von uns legt sich mit vollem Körpergewicht gegen das Holz. Plötzlich bricht mit einem lauten Knacken, dass untere Stück aus der Vorrichtung. Der Anfang ist getan und nun lösen sich die anderen Bretter fast wie von selbst. 
Wir betreten das Haus. Durch das Loch hinter uns strömt ein wenig Licht, doch vor uns gähnt einfach nur absolute Schwärze. Das Licht meiner Taschenlampe offenbart, dass wir uns in einer Vorratskammer befinden. Auf den Regalen liegt Zentimeter dicker Staub und Spinnweben schlängeln sich wie ein Labyrinth um die gesamte Einrichtung und die Steinwände. Urplötzlich ertönt über uns ein lautes Poltern. Erschrocken zucken wir zusammen und schauen uns im Schein der Taschenlampe beunruhigt an. Im nächsten Moment sind laute und schleifende Schritte zu hören, als würde jemand oder etwas langsam eine Treppe herab steigen. Ein kalter Wind bläst uns ins Gesicht und vollends in Panik versetzt, verlassen wir fluchtartig das Haus. Wir hören erst auf zu rennen, als wir das Haus gut einen Kilometer hinter uns gelassen haben. Aus der Ferne ist im obersten Stock des Hauses ein flackerndes Licht zu sehen. Es tanzt und wiegt sich im Wind und ich könnte schwören, einen großen und bedrohlichen Schatten hinter der Gardine gesehen zu haben. Wohnt doch jemand oder etwas in diesem Spukhaus?

Contenance & Miles Away beglücken uns dieses Mal mit einem magisch-mystischen  Set. Die Stimmung ist abwechslungsreich und spannend. Im Laufe der anderthalb Stunden ist der Vibe mal düster, dann wieder nachdenklich und harmonisch schön. Sie erzählen uns ihre unendliche Geschichte und beginnen ihre Reise im soeben beschriebenen Spukhaus. Also schnappt Euch eine Wärmflasche, kocht einen leckeren Tee und genießt mit uns den KataHaifisch Podcast 173.
