Biography: 
Raúl García aka Retouched was born in Madrid in February 1981, he began his career as a DJ around 1999 and as a music producer around 2007/2008. In 2012 he began his time with Kopoc, a label he runs himself. He has collaborated with other labels such as ODrex Music, hello▼strange, [PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB], insectorama, Organica... His musical style is Dub Techno although he has another aka where he delves deeper into House music with touches of Funk, Disco and Detroit sound [Cliff Tower]. This time Raul recorded a special mix for the anniversary of the DUBBISM brand podcast.

Biography: 
Brickman creates music at the crossroads of dub techno, deep house, and ambient. His sound is built on multilayered textures, dub-style echoes and reverbs, electronic rhythms, and powerful sub-bass foundations — forming a distinctive sonic signature. 

The project’s debut release came out in 2010 on Symphonic Silence Inside. Since then, Brickman has collaborated with both Russian and European labels, putting out music on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms. His tracks have been supported in DJ sets by John Digweed, Marco Carola, Hernan Cattaneo, Deepchord, Kirk Degiorgio, and Nadja Lind.

Between 2010 and 2019, Brickman performed live extensively at St. Petersburg venues such as Stackenshneider, Mosaique, Efir, Griboedov, MOD, and Berthold Center, as well as on RTS.FM and Vinyl Jam broadcasts, and at festivals including Abstraction and VPEREDSOMOTRYASHCHIY. He also took part in the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp and composed soundscapes for several art exhibitions.

Since 2022, the project has focused on studio work. To craft his signature sound, Brickman employs both analog and digital synthesizers, samplers, and diverse audio processing techniques.

Biography: 
Gliesse is a techno project by Moscow musician Ilya Chunakov, better known by his stage name Quellsy. A proponent of selective styles and a specialist in sound engineering and sound design, he has released three full-length techno-dnb/dubtechno-dnb albums.

Ilya recorded this mix of his favorite songs and his own tracks, partly in honor of the release of his fourth album, where he reveals the dubtechno patterns of his soul. The mix features retrospective compositions from masters of the genre, experiments with broken selections, and punchy dubtechno hits at over 140 bpm.

The 38th edition of our mixtape-series is a contribution by Bristol based producer and DJ El Choop (@el_choop). We asked him to give us a short brief about the mix and so he did:

»The tracks that comprise this mix are all within my absolute favourite flavour of techno. Dub techno that’s built with the dance floor in mind. I’ve been searching for this sound for the last year and here’s what I’ve found.
