This episode is brought to you by super talented downtempo and organic house producer, @solidmindmusic.

Live artist and DJ/Producer Solidmind, aka Stephan Kellner, has elevated himself into the top tier of promising downtempo, organic house artists. Still in his mid-twenties and turning heads with his unmistakably compelling releases and DJ sets/live performances, the producer and ‘Elysion’ label boss is forever influenced by the world around him. While travelling as a backpacker in his early twenties, he assimilated a wide variety of underground and cultural influences, helping him hone his skills to create the genre-spanning contemporary sounds he loves. Though a fresh face on the electronic music circuit publicly, he has been producing music since he was 16, his productions going from strength to strength as his sound evolved.

‘Elysion’, est. 2020, is predominantly a vehicle for his own tracks whilst also serving as a platform for showcasing others. The label specialises in deep tribal dance music, incorporating folkloric sounds and ancient rhythms.

Working out in the Bahnwärter Thiel artist studios in Munich, Stephan’s favourite gear includes the Prophet Rev2 and Moog Sub 37 synths, and Roland Tr8-s, getting lost in jamming sessions until nightfall / through the night / until dark

My name is Dan aka Johnny Clash and I’ve been around for a while and I like and play all kinds of music. This is very much a jungle mix though not quite entirely and I believe it will take you on a journey, which is DJ talk for it’s a mess but I think it just about hangs together.

A big thank you to my good friend the lovely Uncommon Sense who introduced me to a few of the key players in this mix, and in fact was the one who brought Foot Long Records along to hear me play out. So it’s her fault. Shout out to my main northern hangout Stumblefunk ‘le fluff diabolique’ which has been the location, literally and emotionally (can I say spiritually? yeah, let’s say spiritually as well) for many of the shenanigans which have led up to this moment. On a trip to Melbourne a couple of years ago I had a catch up coffee with a DJ friend of mine who handed over the masters to this classic track.

Dub Techno Blog Guest Mix 034 - M-Eject

Being different is kind of hard these days, but ESHU is always trying to push boundaries. ESHU is a four-man live/DJ collective hailing from Nijmegen in the Netherlands and consists of Roger Gerressen, Jocelyn Abell, Daniël Lekatompessy and Ivano Tetelepta. Near the end of 2010 they decided to join forces and create a crew of likeminded music lovers. They all try to represent the sound that Nijmegen is best known for and that is the sound of the underground, DJ/live sets and productions can be found in all different aspects of Techno. With a well-received first EP (ESHU – Maan EP) the start of their own label ESHU Records at the end of 2011 has been a success since. The second EP (Various Artists – Palette EP) has just been released and slowly but gradually they’re getting more exposure. Known for their up-tempo, hypnotic techno sets and slow paced dub excursions, you can expect techno in all shapes and forms.
