DJ W!LD is back, this time on Crosstown offshoot Rebellion with a stomping summer anthem featuring Cari Golden on vocals ‘Shape U’. The original fuses the solid punch of a club weapon with the laidback feel of poolside disco, while the Fur Coat Remake gives the track an entirely different sheen all chugging disco bass-line, dark synths and pitched down vocals. An aptly named WILDER remix and dub from the producer ties up an unmissable EP.

The prolific DJ W!LD is one of France’s longest serving underground house heroes. As part of the Cocoon family and as a Circo Loco resident, DJ W!LD under various aliases has released on labels such as OFF Recordings, Robsoul, and his own imprints Catwash Records and W including debut album ‘Palace’ in 2011. Second album ‘D!RTY’ landed on Cabin Fever last year.

Originally from Dijon, W!LD’s passion for graffiti, street culture, disco, funk and hip hop led him into DJing, taking his name from cult 1983 film Wild Style. Relocating to Paris in 1996, DJ W!LD was instrumental in the French house scene, pouring his energies into the city’s underground club community and later becoming a globally successful artist and fixture at the best international clubs and festivals.

Fur Coat have been blazing a trail since their mighty debut album in 2012 on Crosstown Rebels ‘Mind Over Matter’ also featuring Cari Golden on vocals on the massive hit ‘You And I’. The fast-rising Venezuelan duo have been remixed by TEED and have a single forthcoming on Crosstown.

Poker Flat Recordings - surely one of the most essential and influential labels of the past couple of decades, treat us to something a little different - and very, very special. 

Classic Jams reaches back to the roots, pulling out long lost, forgotten gems – the music that first inspired and invigorated a generation of electronic producers and dancers including Steve Bug.

Take a trip into the deep, jacking, acidic house and raw Techno expressions that had a profound impact on the current Poker Flat roster - from the late 80s up until the present.  

Most of these tracks are long since out of print on vinyl, and fetch considerable amounts on the 2nd hand market. Likewise, some have never been available digitally. Selected and complied by label boss Steve Bug, these are secret weapons for open-minded DJs, and a valuable document of house music’s enduring legacy for the home listeners. 

Aquarius’ warehouse anthem, Jam To It Again, originally out on City Limits in 1990, still sounds like a jolt of adrenaline to the system. Likewise the obscure but stunning Transcendence by Magique Noir will do doubt ignite dance-floors in exactly the same way it did the first time around. Going even further back, Classic Jams also shines a light on Larry Heard’s sublime Never No More Lonely under his Fingers Inc moniker, as well as the 1988 deep house bomb Musiq by Myoshi-Morris which appears in a brand new exclusive Steve Bug edit. 	

Other highlights include Swing City from 1992 with the pure NY house groove of Make You Mine. Hundreds of contemporary producers are desperately trying to emulate this effortlessly pure house moment - none come close. 

Yet it’s not all from our US cousins - tracks that helped kick start a movement in Europe also feature – see VDT’s It’s Just a Dream featuring MC Valium – essential Techno from 1991 out of the soon-to-be-rave-homeland of Germany. 

Throw in other out-and-out lost classics from the likes of Big Baby, Springboard, and Vice, and you have a compilation that stands both as a testament to the enduring genius of house, and as a essential tool for rocking any party. 

Digital customers will also benefit from three bonus tracks - Nick Holder’s 2001 smash Erotic Illusions, Foremost Poets’ Reasons to be Dismal, and DHS’s epic deep jam House of God ($50 mix) which are also available on Poker Flat 12"es.

Poker Flat Recordings has long held a talismanic role within the house and techno underground –responsible for countless classic moments and pursuing a vision that propels the scene ever forward. Here, Dutch DJ and producer Wouter de Moor continues this rich tradition, dropping an essential release for Steve Bug’s ever-important imprint. 

The Lectures E.P features the words and wisdom of the ultimate DJ’s DJ and king of the underground – Theo Parrish. Wouter de Moor’s original mix intertwines a driving house groove and insistent synth riff around Mr Parrish waxing lyrical about the art of DJing, producing and life in general. 

The vocal track is also provided as an accapella for DJ’s looking to spice up their own sets or productions, while a pair of remixes come courtesy of scene stalwart Kirk Degiorgio. The Brit delivers a vocal and dub that hit hard- toughening up the groove and taking the track further in the realm of late night main room vibes. 

The EP is rounded off with 8 Voice- a knowing nod to the old school with firing percussion, tight snares and a filthy warehouse-ready bassline.

Diving deep into the heavenly, surreal universe of the German duo Trashlagoon and their first release on Délicieuse.

The title 'Struggle' is the leading single extracted from their album 'Blue Empire' set to release January 2014. Sebastien and Niklas deliver us a sleek and euphoric sound, supported by the effectiveness of the piano gimmick. We admire their powerful yet subtle identity, a crossroads between UK garage and German deep house influences.

Madmotormiquel, commander in chief of the leading label URSL (Soukie & Windish, NU, Lake People, etc.) honors us by taking on a spin of the title. His personal touch brings a new energy to the original, with a backdrop of a racing deep house beat. Supported by names like Hannes Fischer, Nico Stojan, and Rampue.. this track already proves to be promising.

Our man, Viken Arman, reinterprets the title in a romantic and dreamlike way, utilizing his signature "pianistic" style (the harpsichord). Once again, we’re blown away by the quality of his production. Always polished and in accordance with the original track’s approach.

This release well identifies with the duo’s universe that they’ve since portrayed in their August release of "Daily Winter". Cryptozoology, the search for and study of animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the Loch Ness monster and the yeti, is something that Henry Saiz finds deeply intriguing. His love of exoticism and strange natural/organic sounds (his own label is called Natura Sonoris - which means Nature of Sound) provide the fuel for this latest stunning Bedrock release. 

“The Cryptozoologist” has an instantly striking, mysterious Andean / Peruvian melodic influence that harks back to cultures shrouded in the mysteries of time, creating a truly haunting track. “Uncharted” is equally hypnotic and enthralling and yet distinctly different. Henry is using a lot of analogue vintage gear to create his music, which is giving him a very distinct sound, a path that will lead to his hotly awaited debut artist album (due out in April 2013) on which he will delve totally into and explore an analogue world (www.wearehenrysaiz.com).

Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe. His superb collaboration with Guy J (“Meridian”) and his solo track (“La Marea”) for the landmark Bedrock 100 release, were of the highest level of quality and his most recent release, “Our Discovery” (Natura Sonoris), became a huge Ibiza hit this summer, with supporters including John Digweed, Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., Luciano, Visionquest, Danny Howells and many others. Henry Saiz is undoubtedly an extraordinarily talented young producer who is simply too exciting to be ignored!

The debut album from electro-tinged pop songstress Patchy, which was produced in The Netherlands and Germany will be released this coming June. ‘Illuminations’ see’s Patchy’s warm and sweet vocals create melodies over driving rhythms and bassy synths, all making for a delightful slice of electro-pop.

Patchy is a London based artist. Her musical inspirations become instantly apparent when listening to her debut album. From 80’s electronic-indie wonders New Order, to Kate Bush and her vocal eccentricities as well as minimal influence such as Magda and Ellen Allien. Legendary producer Giorgio Moroder is a big driving force behind the music Patchy has created and there are also undertones of Kraftwerk; embodying the simplistic 80’s inspired electronics, layered sounds and catchy melodies that is signature to their sound.

Speaking about the album Patchy said: 'The songs on Illuminations span over a decade and cover some of the most fun and memorable times had, as well as being used as a way of venting and getting through the harder times. Tracks like 'Starting New' and 'Happy Dark Spirit' reflect partying with friends, the sun shining on long weekends and those morning walks home, hungover but contented, whereas 'Dreams' and 'City' describe bouts of anxiety and darker moments. Most of the tracks began on acoustic guitar and piano which I then developed using Reason and a synth.’

The first single taken from ‘Illuminations’, ‘Picnic’ is all about the sweet melodies over a dark and dreamy synth bass. ‘Brixtonia,’ leads the way with spacey synths and hypnotic harmonies making for some melodic electronica. Tracks such as ‘Delicate’ and ‘City’ have a more lo-fi feel, creating dreamy soundscapes with beats, guitars and pianos against lush melodies. Whereas ‘Control’ takes things back to an 80’s inspired, dark synth pop era, allowing for Patchy’s vocals to take a more seductive voyage, evoking similarities in sound to Goldfrapp’s ‘Happiness’. Final track ‘Starting New’ is a summery electro-pop anthem, showcasing the idiosyncrasies Patchy’s breezy vocals have to offer, above soaring synths and uplifting electronic beats.

‘Illuminations’, which was co-produced by Francesco Pico, Qbical and Lanny May will be released through independent record company Manual Music. The label was set up in The Netherlands in 2005, mainly known in the electronic music scene it is slowly but surely widening it's horizons, working with bands and singer/songwriters in the indie- and electro pop genre, Patchy being a shining example of such.

Patchy’s debut album showcases her ability to become a rising female electronic solo artist, joining the likes of Robyn, Goldfrap and La Roux. Patchy’s album launch will be taking place on Tuesday 28th of May at The Social in London. More tour dates to be announced for summer.

Born in Paris, raised in Moscow and now residing in Brussels, Felix Cage is a man of the world. Classical music, Russian pop-rock of the early 90’s as well as the echos of the European house scene form his musical background. It is later in Belgium that Felix fully embracing the electronic music movement, the European clubbing culture broadens his musical horizons leading to DJing and later to production of music.

We are very happy to welcome this artist, a personal favorite of Manual boss Paul Hazendonk, on Manual Music. The title track 'I Am The Night' sees Felix team up with South African vocalist Lazarusman who you might know from his earlier collaborations with artists such as Tigerskin, Stimming, Aki Bergen. and Djuma Soundsystem. Tribalistic, yet smooth and deep with the warm vocals of Lazarusman to keep you in the flow, 'I Am The Night' is a real tune for those long summer nights on the beach. 'Midnight Stranger' is a more melodic cut by Felix. Warm, moody and floathing througout the whole song. One of those true "close your eyes and let the music take you away" tracks.

Fresh from his epic and celebratory ‘Focus On’ album, Daniel Dexter returns to Poker Flat with a bang. This release pulls together some blistering remixes of tracks that originally appeared on 'Focus On' - supplied by some of the hottest producers from the underground.

First up is Uner, the young Spaniard whose work on labels such as Cadenza has been turning heads of late. His remix of Dexter’s 'Why So Serious' is a bomb – driving Tech House with a big room feel that will be flipping dancefloors upside down for the rest of the summer.

David Keno also works some magic on 'Storm' – another stand out track from Dexter’s long player. Keno’s elegant touch with melody and rhythmic complexity takes 'Storm' in a new direction - resulting in a piece of music that works equally as a floor burner as it does in a listening context.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse have been building a unstoppable juggernaut of buzz over the past few years, and with their Blindbird remix of 'Birds', it’s easy to see why. The German duo pull out this devious slice of deep Electro/Techno that is as assured as it is weird - a true must have for the heads.

The legend that is Ian Pooley doesn’t disappoint with his version of 'Night Away feat. Geraldine Roth', taking the original and twisting it to his own brand of taut, focussed tech-house.

All four remixes are available via the 12inch from Poker Flat. Digital customers can also pick up the originals of each cut, split over two parts.
