Following recent outings on Aus Music, Rejected and Knee Deep In Sound, Steve Bug returns to his own Poker Flat Recordings for his first solo release on the label since 2021's Montafon. 

Despite maintaining a prolific release and remix schedule, it's been quite some time since we've been treated to a pure, unadulterated Steve Bug original on Poker Flat. 

So we're very pleased to present Alto Adige: a fantastically deep and typically meticulous two-tracker set to scratch that particular itch. 

Alto Adige is a patient slow-burner, kicking off with a muted synth line that gradually opens up as the track progresses, building to a deeply satisfying crescendo in the break. 

Trentino is similarly minded, with the addition of rising strings and a beautifully epic synth lead adding even more drama to proceedings.

It’s been 18 years since Jim Rivers catapulted into the limelight with his hit debut single ‘Restore’,  going on to build an enviable career that has seen him play worldwide and grow an impressive catalogue of releases on numerous high profile labels.  

Calycanthus is another sure fire winner- an assured and atmospheric track that touches on progressive and trance styles, but ultimately remains a tough, dance floor filler that will work in a myriad of sets and circumstances.   

As a sign of the levels he’s working at, Rivers calls in a remix from the legend Bushwacka! to provide a new perspective on the track - amping up the acidic bass and firing percussion to create a new vibe out of the same elements. 

Last up is Yucca  - a slick and polished mid tempo groover that develops an irresistible groove supported by some judicious drops.

Qess steps up with a release on the evergreen Poker Flat Recordings, Steve Bug’s long running and now legendary label for deep and techy house.  

The London based DJ/producer of house and electronica previously had a release with Ursula Rucker on Mobilee in 2020, and here drops It’s Always Been There - deep, melodic and vibey from start to finish. 

The Berlin legend Cinthie brings a tough remix to the table, adding some powerful chords and a whole lot of energy.

Jim Rivers continues to build on his glowing reputation as a master of the space between house and techno with this essential release on Poker Flat Records. 

A producer and DJ with a career spanning over a decade, Rivers has earned widespread respect for his deep, dynamic productions and ability to blur genre boundaries with finesse.

The title track, Magnolia, leads the release with its tough kicks and crisp percussion, laying the foundation for a driving house workout infused with spacy atmospherics. This is peak-time material—hypnotic, pulsing, and primed for the dancefloor.

Swiss-born DJ and producer Dario D’Attis continues his streak of high-caliber releases, delivering yet another standout record on Poker Flat Records. 

Known for his deep, groove-driven sound and impeccable production, D’Attis teams up with house music legend Mr. V on Back To The Old, a tribute to the golden days of US house music. Mr. V’s unmistakable vocals set the tone, celebrating the raw, jackin’ energy that defined the era, while D’Attis provides a driving, dancefloor-ready groove.
