A pioneering icon of the underground, Bushwacka! presents a two-track release on DFTD, ‘What You Want / I Dream Of You’. As one of the most prominent figures in the acid house scene of the late 1980s, Bushwacka!’s impact on the scene is still felt to this day; together with fellow British producer Layo Paskin, the pair helped to shape the sound of UK house, techno and acid by delivering genre-crossing electronic music approaching the new millennium. Bushwacka!’s output remains as cutting edge after 30 years in the biz, recently landing on cult NYC label Nu Groove with four-track EP ‘Back To The Underground’ as well as Luke Solomon’s Classic imprint with ‘Sunday School’. DFTD is proud to unveil What You Want EP, a two-track collection of damagers that demonstrate the work of an innovator; title track ‘What You Want’ firmly delivers a metropolitan cool, voyaging through different moods and eras thanks to intricate percussion choices, while ‘I Dream Of You’ is more understated in its approach, building with quiet intensity and hazy complexity.

Swiss-born DJ and producer Dario D’Attis continues his streak of high-caliber releases, delivering yet another standout record on Poker Flat Records. 

Known for his deep, groove-driven sound and impeccable production, D’Attis teams up with house music legend Mr. V on Back To The Old, a tribute to the golden days of US house music. Mr. V’s unmistakable vocals set the tone, celebrating the raw, jackin’ energy that defined the era, while D’Attis provides a driving, dancefloor-ready groove. 

For those who prefer the instrumental, the Underground Mix Instrumental is also included.

Adding to the release, NYC house icon Joeski - a veteran with over three decades in the scene - delivers a remix that takes Back To The Old into deep, rolling territory. A staple of underground house, Joeski has crafted a career spanning from the late '90s rave scene to modern-day dance floors. His remix leans into a hypnotic, percussive groove, keeping the retro spirit alive while injecting his signature deep and bumping style.

Come On is a tight, old-skool referencing house track built around a ravey vocal sample, a classic chord progression and tight, funky drum programming. 

Clearly deeply infatuated with the early days of US house, the original is all vibe. 

UK based house producer CASSIMM contributes a remix, that leans into the old skool vibe but adds layers that are more techier and driving.  

The shimmering synth stabs and effects add a new dimension to the track - a more streamlined and minimal aesthetic.
