Winner of 'Best Track Title' so far this year, we're very pleased to be able to present to you a full premiere of Gab Rhome's 'I've Changed My Scent For You'. This is a real gem of a track, in Gab's signature deep, emotive style and we're sure you're going to enjoy streaming it just as much as we've enjoyed playing it here at the Deep House London office for the past few days!

In case you're unfamiliar with Gab Rhome, he's been knocking around for a few years now and first came to our attention through his timeless '1990 As In Gold Was Born', which was released on Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts label via a compilation called Things Have Changed, in 2012. Since then he's had several key releases on labels such as Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream, Sasha's Last Night On Earth, Get Physical and Culprint to name but a few. His style rests at the deeper, more melodramatic end of house music and is perfect for those endless summer days that we're soon to be enjoying!

Gab new EP comes via the always trusty Anjunadeep label and features two other great tracks, 'Drifting' and 'Warm Days'. We can't recommend it highly enough and the track below is a perfect example of just how good it is. Gab worked tirelessly on the EP, spending much of his time and energy composing, arranging and even singing on the tracks himself so it's a labour of love, which is obvious when you listen to it.

Erased Tapes artists Kiasmos (Janus Rasmussen & recent Late Night Tales compiler Ólafur Arnalds) and Rival Consoles are the first to reconstruct Sasha’s Scene Delete vision in their own image. Kiasmos take Scene Delete’s fragile, beatless closing track ‘Vapour Trail’ and transform it into an ambient-house anthem, equally suited to home listening or for club use. Rival Consoles’ nocturnal take on ‘Cassette Sessions E’ feeds from the London-based electronic songwriter’s critically lauded style of humanised techno, building from hypnotic melancholia to a joyous crescendo.

Steve Bug & Langenberg - PARADISE SOLD REMIXES 

Steve Bug and Langenberg's 'Paradise Sold' album dropped earlier this year to quite a rapturous reception. It's hardly surprising that two of the more prolific and passionate men in house music would pull together such a complete album of contemporary house music.

Happily, the guys have now curated a fine EP of remixes from friends and family to take some of the album's key moments into new directions.

'Search For Xur' gets the treatment by Rodriguez Jr., bringing a very slinky, late night deepness to the original courtesy of a bubbling bassline and emotionally charged synth pads.

'Senior Elfo' is flipped by fellow Germans Frankey & Sandrino, whose knowledge of the deeper end of the tech house spectrum gives the track an epic openness.

Perlon and Panorama Bar legend Cassy drops her Full On Dub Mix of album highlight 'Chord Cluster', and delivers a slick, driving burner for the floor.

Similarly, 'A Touch Of Detroit' is re-rubbed by Ostgut Ton's Virginia with her Broken Touch Of Detroit mix, which channels classic motor city techno legends to produce a near perfect slice of hi tech soul.

Basti Grub returns to Davide Squillace’s label This And That Lab for his fourth EP on the imprint. Having already proven himself to be one of This And That Lab’s most popular artists Basti Grub has also featured on other labels including Moon Harbour, Bar 25 Music, Stil Vor Talent and Moan. Along with being a successful solo producer he has also collaborated with many other artists including his recent outing on Mobilee Records where he teamed up with Timo Maas and Eric Volta. One of Germany’s most consistent artists, Basti Grub’s unique blend of quirky percussion and catchy synth lines give his jazz influenced tech house tracks an unmistakable sound. Complementing the three original tracks is a remix from Spanish artist Cuartero, who along with DJing all over Europe, boasts an impressive back catalogue including music signed to the likes of Hot Creations, Saved Records, Desolat, Knee Deep In Sound and VIVa MUSiC. Opening the EP is the tribal groove of “Adansonia” which compliments the dark atmospherics and the haunting Spanish vocal. A medley of textures and fast flowing rhythms, this track is very much in line with the trademark style of clubs like DC10 in Ibiza. The second cut “Day Dreamer” is on a similar vibe to the first but uses a muffled vocal sample as its main hook that gets layered with a vibrant mix of percussive textures and delicate synth parts. Dark and twisted, the shuffling rhythms enhance the captivating atmosphere brought to life by the creepy vocal. Third on the EP is the solo remix from Cuartero, who for his version, has decided to focus on the originals percussive textures, stripping back the other parts except for the delicate melody synths. He also adds his own dramatic vocal stab, which works to give extra impact to this rhythmical rework. Dropping the tempo to wrap things up, “Checking You Up” has hip hop style samples fused with chanting textures of a looped vocal that adds to the flow before opening out into soothing female tones. ‘80s influenced, this charismatic slice of tribal house has a timeless sound full of personality

Drawing inspiration from her first worldwide tour, where life on the road was impacted by personal loss, the album title Pink Bubble captures the essence of the artist’s mindset, caught in between the artistic world and real life: “I felt like in a pink bubble, between memories and new experiences, between darkness and colours”. Brandishing an immersive sonic sphere, the classically trained musician played and recorded all instruments throughout the album, including her favourite weapons of choice, from her beloved 60’s guitar to vintage analog synths like the Moog Sub37, Juno 106, the infamous O-B-6 synth and more.

The synesthesia of dark and colourful with new and old memories stands at the core of the album, as introspective airy tracks intertwine with more dynamic, bass-heavy constructions.

On its luminous side, we see cuts radiating with crystalline, microscoping sounds with sweeping ambience like the opener A Perfect Day in Tulum, leading the listener on a nervous path towards more obscure tracks such as Copenhagen and Nothing to Lose, until bringing the atmosphere to a boiling point. Music is Life encapsulates Giorgia’s passion for her craft, an intrinsic part of her life that brings peace and inspiration: “Music is life with wings, sit in the warm water, just reflecting, being”. Creation and being inspired represent another major theme present throughout the album, both in the eponymous track Inspiration, as well as A Temple Made by Air, where the artist can be heard singing: “Passion means satisfaction, wrong emotions create distortion, come with me to enjoy the green, stop losing time on your screen”. Channelling an overflow of emotions, a return to humanity comes as a resolution for the artist, the central idea in The Contact is a Cure. Giorgia feels that, although useful, “technology is the big nightmare of our society, and we are all missing the contact with nature and human beings”. Rounding off the last part of the release, the sun-drenched Pink Bubble stands as reflective and intense, managing to transfuse the same magnetism that is quintessential to Giorgia’s live performances.

With Pink Bubble, Giorgia Angiuli refines her signature sound across a range of tempos, in a project that can be appreciated both for its intricate groundings and beautiful simplicity.

Lauter Unfug releases a 8 Track compilation that includes tracks by residents and friends that helped shape the label over time. This release merges the musical influences of the label and reaches out from deep and soulful house to Tech House and Techno. Every track has its own individual character and the well composed remixes underline that every artist has been guided by his unification to the label which has engaged in promoting them around Europe and the world. 
The label has also given the artists the opportunity to experiment and therefore release some tunes that sound different to what you might expect given their past releases, so be ready to anticipate some surprises along the way.
