Poker Flat go right for the jugular again with this blazing collaborative EP from the duo Tim Engelhardt (@timengelhardt) & BOg (@bogmusicoff).

Engelhardt in one of the hottest talents around, forging a hugely prolific carrier already from his home base in Cologne, Germany. Just recently Tim released his debut album 'Moments of Truth' on Poker Flat followed by a remix EP.

Teaming up with the hugely talented Bogdan Tanase (BOg) from Romania, the boys put together a strong musical statement.

'Synchronicity' sets out the stall - driving, powerful tech house with a sense of class and restraint. The energy is teased through-out the track, pulling from the tight rhythm and expressing itself with dramatic, moody synths - interwoven into a slick whole.

'Alma' also showcases the pair’s ears for dynamics - each element in the track perfectly crafted and mixed - the result is an emotional dancefloor experience that’s more than the sum of its parts.

Turning up the heat, 'Astronauts' kicks of with a thumping groove that builds and mutates across the track - resulting in a driving, powerful weapon for a multiple of situations.

Similarly, 'Celsius' fits right into this release - yet another cut of driven, melodic tech balancing primal rhythmic energy with expressive melody.

After three super solid and well appreciated vinyl 12“ releases which were receiving nothing but love all over the place, have been played out on heavy rotation in clubs and at festivals and surely have been essential in shaping the relatively new Deep- / Slowhouse / (Neo)Cosmic offshoot that's not filed under a genre-defining flag yet but is partly described  as consisting  of „love songs that accidentally turned into tracks“ these days this series does not need no further introduction. 

The Stiff Little Spinners brand has grown and gained recognition on the club circuit especially throughout the past twelve months and that's why we serve it's fourth issue in a special, well chosen context of joy and celebration. 

Whilst the Audiolith mothership is turning 10 years in 2013, turning it's head into the next „Ten Years From Now“ with a special anniversary sampler LP the vinyl edition of Stiff Little Spinners Volume 4 will be included as additional bonus 12“ for this sampler and is not to be sold seperately, introducing the labels more club-focused side to all its followers. 

But now we're back to the music.

Starting the musical journey with Gimmix  „Missy“ it's pretty obvious why the trademark Stiff Little Spinners-sound goes way beyond the term of Deep- or SlowHouse as the use of tender vocal samples and heartwarming melodies with an uplifting twist on top of deepest basslines sparks nothing but innocent happiness.

Stepping forward we're running into Joney – Hamburg's uber-active jack-of-all-trades who simply states „It's Braining Schnaps And Frogs“ with his excursion into stomping, sub-driven Techno House. Aware of Sheffield's Bleeps & Clonks he easily manages to keep the drums marching straight away whilst delicate strings tell a totally different tale, reminiscing about these few calm minutes before the sun sets. These opposite sides of the story easily fall into place for good, making this brain out a very special tune for special moments.

Next up is the great Kalipo with „Perspicientia“ and the Frittenbude-trained master of analogue gear surely knows what the lovers of this series call out for. This time he's on an ever evolving, innocently (Neo)Trance-induced tip, shifting through frolicking chords and organic basslines, building layers and layers of melodies, sounds and greatly processed vocal bits, slightly referring to Future Garage musically but thrilling every floor that's based on a decent four by four. Nothing but quality in here.

Stiff Little Spinners-mastermind Krink steps up to the circuit with his instant classic „Talking“ which is paying great respect to the early days of Chitown whilst keeping the sweet functionality and maximum dancefloor effect of stripped down House Music in mind. One of these rare tracks that's totally living up to the history of House in every little detail. But still „Talking“ is way more than a pure emulation of what has been once as the man they call Krink is breathing sex and soul and love and a vision with every micro-tone included in this masterpiece.

Another uncrowned master of sweetness in dance floor music is Rampue who is exploring slightly different realms here with shuffling beats, Spanish vibes and romantic Flamenco'esque guitars embedded in a synth heavy surrounding that feels no fear of vibing of on offbeat structures and Jazz standards. “Una Bluna” is crossing borders and uniting the best of both musical worlds under one roof.

Finally Torsun Teichgräber gives us some kind of French goosebumps with his “De Plus En Plus Fort” - a lovely piano-driven affair based on highly intimate, uber-fragile female vocals that slowly are sucked in to a warm Acid (Not Acid)-flavored vision of (Tech) House that's second to none these days.

Electronic music mainstay, Tim Green follows up a couple of big summer releases with another fine brace of tracks for My Favorite Robot.

Green, as well as being a Cocoon regular, is boss of his own Disc Over Music label and has long been an assured producer of rugged grooves and club slaying synth lines. This past summer he has had another busy one playing guest DJ slots all over the world and has seen support for his recent remixes of Kidnap Kid and MANDY.  Now winter is coming, we are treated to more original magic from his studio.

Off his latest release "Empire", we exclusively premiere ‘Overstance’; a spiritual track that is doused in glowing angelic pads as well as crafted synth lines that rise up the sale and take you with them. The rubbery drums bubble and boil below and voices scurrying about in paranoid fashion to add to the overall impact.

Vincenzo (@vincenzo_official) needs little introduction - the veteran producer and DJ has been a fixture on the scene for years, releasing his distinctive brand of classy deep and techy house on a number of key labels. 

Returning to Poker Flat, he teams up with the mega talented Cari Golden (@cari-golden) for this killer three track EP. Cari hails from LA, an accomplished singer & songwriter and a part of band Narcotourist. She lends her skills to 'Never Go Back' a lush yet edgy deep bomb built around slinky groove shot through with Vincenzo’s trademark drama and tension. Cari brings the track to the next level with her vocals - both seductive and cautionary.

Smash TV (@smash-tv-1) (Holger Zilske and Kai Preussner) bring a sick remix to the table with their version - heading to deeper territory and seemingly primed for the after hours vibe.

Next up is 'That’s The Way' - an instrumental that sees Vincenzo revel in some old school chord progressions and tension / release dynamics to make a sure-fire floor weapon.

Kyodai and Exploited go together like bread and butter. The relationship between the Berlin dup and Shir Khan’s local label stretches back four years now, and after a slew of club smashes like 'Music Rises Up', 'Sound Of The Falls', 'Houston In The Blind' and this year’s 'The Clone', they’re back with another certified jam in the form of 'Weekend'. 

The duo’s love of ‘90s house has always been key to their sound, and they have really brought it back to the centre of what they do recently. 'Weekend' bursts into life with thumping kicks and hip-shaking percussion as a filtered vocal snippet builds the tension. Deft organ stabs are slowly drawn in, unfolding into an almost arpeggiated rhythmic pattern that brings the groove atop the deep, rolling bassline. Cymbal rides and snare fills pick up the pace, with a sustained string note building the drama further. Diva shrieks punctuate the sections as the filtered vocal snippet gets drenched in delay.

All of a sudden we find ourselves in the depths of a breakdown consisting of nothing more than an irresistible organ solo and teases of the vocal, the keys worked to their fullest to create hypnotic, hooky melodies and pleasingly phat chords. The beat slams back in as the organ chords loop incessantly, and a second majestic breakdown adds bubbling synths into the mix. We’re talking mid-’90s New York garage/house vibes here, with big drops and effects giving the groove a big room feel.

About the VA :
"10 Years of Exotic", huh? That is the time since the very first release on Exotic Refreshment, and in that time we have come a really long way. 10 Years is a long time... We had ups and downs. We had moments where we enjoyed a small successes, but also moments of doubt. It was hard, but it was worth it. From a "label" with no experience in the industry that initially released only my tracks and tracks from my friends from our town, Leszno (does anyone even know where it is...? lol), we have built something that we can be proud of!

To celebrate this anniversary, we have 12 never released tracks from the 14 artists, with some I work closely for years, some just joined recently.

Chapter 3 of the series includes 2 fresh originals from Severin Su, Itay Dailes and Ben Solomon, and new remixes from Just Her and Olaf Stuut. 

The preparation lasted a few months, but I hope you will like them.

And to end this strange press release or however you want to call it, I would like to thank you all for the support and help over the years! I wish you all peace and happiness :-)

About the release :

To start its 2018 year, - Poincare label launches a series of various artists releases. The objective is simple, gather the most promising producers gravitating towards the label to- gether on the same release. For this premiere, the french duo Mediane and the swiss pro- ducer Specialivery are in the spotlight. 
The duo opens this various with an acid track with cinematographic influences. “The next rules” is undoubtedly effective. After getting himself noticed with “Atom (Auto Remix)”, the swiss performes one more time with all his talent on “Climb”. A captivating track, filled with subtleties, which offers new surprises time after time.   About Mediane :  When two musical universes merge to give only one. The project is the fruit of the collaboration of two friends, djs and producers. Originally, one offers a captivating and aggressive deep, the other an acid and devastating Techno. Since 2016, under the alias Me- diane, they propose a symbiosis of their respective styles. 
Two first EPs released on Poincaré Records label respectively titled «Shade» and «Insomniak» quickly enable them to be sup- ported by artists like Slam, Paco Osuna, Anetha, Alfredo Mazzilli, Mental Resonance, Djedjotronic and many others. 
Oscillating between mental, atmospheric and acid techno, the identity of the duo is marked by very aesthetic bass lines and darkly effective melodic arpeggios. 
After six months of production, several EPs are being program- med in 2018 on various international labels.

The first single In The Night features the vocals of Ben Duffy, which paired with Claptone’s insistent and upbeat production, makes for an exquistley executed electronic pop gem. It marks an engaging opening snapshot for what will be a milestone in his already glittering career. 







We caught a glimpse of his ambition to produce a body of work in Claptone’s debut artist album Charmer which has scored over 60million streams and counting, but it’s in Fantast that Claptone really delves deeper into the art of songwirting. 

2018 will see another intense year of touring with Claptone presenting his immersive Masquerade event experience at bigger venues and festivals having built momentum over the last 18 months hosting events at Tomorrowland, Melt Festival, Elrow at Amnesia Ibiza, Green Valley Brazil, Melbourne St Kilda and more.

Buenos Aires resident Santiago Garcia's name resounds throughout the land ever since renowned artists from the Innervisions crew discovered his rhythmical driven and melodically touched music. But Santiago has been around way longer and had already left his signature in the South American music scene way before his music made it into the record bags of artists such as Dixon, Trikk, BOg or Lehar. His latest musical piece of art, a remix for Sam Farsio & Frederick Stone's track 'Twisted Feet', does just what the name promises: keeping the crowd's feet twisting and moving and lets it discover Santiago's tactfulness. While the percussions set the vibe of the remix it's the tropical-like yet dark melodic tone that makes the listener explore the producer's mind through the most pleasant way: electronic music with a heart and meaning. Damian Lazarus’ magical live project The Ancient Moons returns with their new single Five Moons. 

The band led by Lazarus, is comprised of Ben Chetwood on drums, Rob Gentry on keyboards, and new vocalist J Appiah. On Five Moons they are also joined by the Australian punk sensation Chela for a dubbed out, soulful excursion into the darker recesses of the dancefloor.

The Ancient Moons first debuted in 2014 with Lover’s Eyes, and followed that with the acclaimed album ‘Message From The Other Side’, dubbed a “a journey into techno’s dreamiest recesses” by The Fader and a “psychedelic masterpiece’ by Vice. Since then The Ancient Moons have travelled the world with their highly immersive live show, supported Roisin Murphy on tour and played at Glastonbury festival and Melt! amongst others.

Last year the band resurfaced, after locking themselves away to record in the Italian countryside, with I Found You, which nabbed a BBC Essential New Tune and stunning remixes from Black Coffee and Patrice Baumel. Today Five Moons offers another glimpse into this summer’s forthcoming album..

"Picture: Undercatt” is like a splendid night out. The record lures you in with its warm and melodic Deep House vibe, gradually building up its pace in a crescendo until it culminates into heavy Techno. After the peak, the record sends you off with a melancholically sweet good-bye.
Diynamic Music’s „Picture:“ series is a document in time, showcasing an artist’s current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. “Picture:” is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

Tim Engelhardt is one of the rising talents around, forging a hugely prolific career from his hometown of Cologne, Germany. Just recently Tim released his debut album 'Moments of Truth' on Poker Flat followed by a remix EP. Teaming up with the talented Bogdan Tanase (BOg) from Romania, the boys put together a strong musical statement. 'Synchronicity' sets out the stall - driving, powerful techno house with a sense of class and restraint. The energy is teased throughout the track, pulling from the tight rhythm and expressing itself with dramatic, moody synths - interwoven into a slick whole.
'Alma' also showcases the pair’s ears for dynamics - each element in the track perfectly crafted and mixed - the result is an emotional dance floor experience that’s more than the sum of its parts.

Following Yotto’s roof-raiser, Green continue to scorch the new year with another evocative dispatch. Please welcome young Dutch talent Mees Salomé and his remarkable label debut...

‘Ya Amar’ is steeped in emotion. Its Arabic title translating to ‘my moon’ or ‘my most beautiful’, there’s serious skin-rippling movement in the sweeping strings and gradual, unhurried-yet-stately pace of the narrative. Majestic, touching and just on the right side of epic.

‘Zero’ takes nothing away from this: Stripped back and driven by a subtly bumpy, turbulent kickdrum, once again we’re eased into Mees’ dramatic narrative with pace and measure. Slowly, surely, overwhelmingly, he whisks us off to parts unknown on some perfectly tempered synths and sweeping motifs.

Dreamy-yet-dramatic with all the right mystical, techno noir touches, Joris and Edwin know a good record when they spot it. We think you’ll be hearing a lot more from Mees in the new future. Green means go...
