(ENG) I have the habit of playing some simple and soft melodies on the piano before my moments of meditation. During one of these moments I started to improvise a different, strange piece of music. At the end an inner voice whispered the word “Romanian” in my mind. I had the impression that it was a reference to the Romanian composer George Enescu. I have known a little about his work for many years through the opera Oedipus, composed between the 1920s and 1930s, but I had no other references.
I went looking for his piano works, and discovered that my composition really did have something of his style.
And that is why I named my composition “Study on Enescu”.

(PTbr) Tenho o hábito de tocar no piano algumas melodias simples e suaves antes de meus momentos de meditação. Durante um desses momentos comecei a improvisar uma música diferente, estranha. Ao final uma voz interior me soprou a palavra ¨Romeno¨ na minha mente. Tive a impressão de que era uma referência ao compositor romeno George Enescu. Há muitos anos conheço um pouco de seu trabalho através da opera Oedipus, composta entre as décadas de 1920 e 1930, mas não tinha mais referências.
Fui procurar seus trabalhos em piano, e descobri que realmente minha composição tinha algo do seu estilo.
E por isso dei o nome da minha composição de *Estudo sobre Enescu¨.
