Preceding their album ‘Turns’ – out via Ostgut Ton on 25 November 2016 – Barker & Baumecker return with a double faced two track 12“. “Love Hertz” is a blissful, uplifting, melodic and – at times – bluesy UK Bass-inspired cut, shuffling and playfully flicking throughout. The record’s alternate lead track “Cipher” on the flip side is a rework of a two-part track from the forthcoming ‘Turns’ LP: while the album’s “Encipher & Decipher” puts focus on the home listening-aspect, this 12“es’ “Cipher” is made for the club. The track’s atmospheric build-up eventually turns in favor of a heavy, dark kick drum and multi-layered percussion, feeling at times as if the duo’s hammering onto Berghain’s steel staircase.

Mana is the second EP by Ligovskoï, the most poetic and abstract band at DEMENT3D. The duo, between Bruxelles and Paris, has come up with five new pieces, bringing their craft to a whole new level. Their condensed and moving soundscapes are now heightened by narrative compositions and constructions. Their hybrid sound-design and detuned, infra-thin arpeggios now also integrate free improvisations and breathtaking, melodramatic moments.
Their music is still mysterious and unsettling by essence; and there is now something of a paradox between a kind of wary decency that defines their attitude – where melodies and rhythm patterns are concealed in a vast arrangement of deep frequencies – and on the other hand, how they have now managed to perform as musicians and express some unpredictable energy and interpretation in their works. A very elegant way of installing an incarnated and personal dimension in their music, that complements the classic intimacy and deepness of their ambient/drone etiquette.
 The record here, much like Ligovskoï’s previous project ‘Dilip’ is associated with remixes – which makes it a double EP. The originals by the duo are found on sides A and B of a white, opaque vinyl, and the remixes on side C and D of a classic black 12’’.
Abdulla Rashim, Peder Mannerfelt or HBT are on remix duties and D1, premiered here, is a long techno epic by Polar Inertia that builds delicately upon the sequences of Lethe towards its heartwarming pads as a final release.

Since bursting onto the scene back in 2009, Markus has stayed faithful to his minimal tech roots, creating mind-altering releases for everyone from Rekids to Figure by way of his own SCKT imprint. An artist at heart, his music is very often made without a dance floor in mind: testament to his studio craft that he’s become such a potent force in the scene.   Lead track, ‘6AM’ is an homage to the early morning groovers, who, blurry-eyed, still inhabit the floor when everyone else has left the club. The true heads who appreciate the ebb and flow of a night and grasp onto the embers with joyous abandon. Reflective and somber, muted chords work against ricochet sonics as Suckut’s hypnotic power takes you over for one last hurrah before the lights come on.

Polar Inertia examines the enigmatic and blurry realms, embracing the art of obscured vision.
Encountering the collective Polar Inertia is much like being absorbed by fog and captivated by
its ever-shifting forms and densities, with things being as indistinguishable as in a whiteout.

Formed in 2010 by a group of artists, Polar Inertia transcends visibility, delving into structures
that lie beyond the public gaze. Layers upon layers intertwine within the fabric of Polar Inertia,
extending beyond their profound electronic compositions and live performances. It manifests as a conceptual universe, where sound, monochrome aesthetics, and elusive narratives converge,
much like trying to grasp the intangible fog. The entity that is Polar Inertia is involved in
installations, print- and video work and texts created for different contexts and live in different
spheres such as Palais de Tokyo in Paris or the Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art. Still, clubs
and festivals are perfect spaces to experience these nebulous soundworlds and immerse in
them. Fittingly, some of Polar Inertia’s appearances include the colossal halls of Berghain and
Bassiani and at experimental festivals like Mutek Montreal and Atonal Berlin, that like to break
with the classic club conventions.

Polar Inertia's sonic landscape unfolds with wafting textures accompanied by resonating beats
and drones, reverberating through empty spaces, merging with the vast expanse of nothingness.
Their sound exists at the crossroads of ambient, experimental, and deep techno, interwoven
with vocal narratives. Since their inaugural release “Indirect Light“ on Dement3d Records in
2011, they remain a stronghold of relevance and captivation in the electronic domain.
