We've been insanely hyped here at Punks Towers since we completed this new comp with one of our favourite artists.
Globe trotting bad man, official DJ of Street League Skateboarding, ex pro snowboarder, adventurer, father and stalwart OG of the scene, we're proud to introduce Nixon as the latest artist in our Selection series.
Nixon cut his teeth in the Blue Note era of Drum & Bass which is a testament to the authentic sound that he consistently delivers. You can hear the influences of early Metalheadz, Good Looking Records and Moving Shadow echoing through his productions.
Unmatched in his ability to create a nostalgic hands in the air dance floor moment, the Basement Selection is a melting pot of fresh but familiar mid tempo beats, masterfully woven together and presented in the progressive fashion we've all come to love from Nixon.
This 28 track leviathan features 6 new Nixon tracks, exclusive beats from Stanton Warriors, Cause & Affect, Mafia Kiss, Hypho & Dread Mc, Rico Tubbs, Figures Of Eighty, Isenberg and some amazing licences from the likes of Jakwob, Fish and Guau.

After nearly a year hiatus, Viper’s own BMotion returns at long last with ‘Alive’.
BMotion has long been a staple in the Viper family, from his most recent track ‘Lust’ with Jack Mirror, to being asked to remix Moby’s iconic ‘A Simple Love’. BMotion has also remixed Koven’s ‘From The Start’ and The Brookes Brother’s ‘Good To Me’, collaborated with Dossa & Locuzzed on the fan favourite ‘Love Blind’, and with Cyantific on ‘Cyborg’, to name but a few of his most memorable tracks. Earning huge support from Netsky, Friction, Metrik, ShockOne, DJ Marky, Matrix & Futurebound, and many more early on, BMotion has built a more than impressive repertoire since signing to Viper in 2014.
Now, a year since ‘Lust’ was released on the famous Acts of Mad Men Vol. 2, BMotion is back in a big way. Teaming up with Jon Lilygreen who was featured on some of BMotion’s earliest releases, the pair show their glow up with their first collaboration in over 5 years.

While Toronto has long been known for the grittier side of drum-n-bass music, the Romanian-born, classically trained Polaris brings an altogether different sound to the fore. At once melancholy and hopeful, jubilant and wistful, he has forged a musical identity that elevates drum-n-bass on a cinematic scale. After rising in the ranks of the Toronto DnB scene, he entered the global awareness in 2016 in grand fashion. His fruitful creative partnership with fellow Torontonian, Schematic, would see the release of their “NBD” on Inner City Dance, and “Please Don’t” and “Bring the Heat” on Technique Recordings, which also released his collaboration with Stranjah, “Aquarius”. Hospital Records came knocking as well, putting two Polaris tracks on their “Future Sound of Canada” EP, his goose bump-inducing stormer with Schematic, “Conduit”, and his own “The Light In Your Eyes”, which would go on to be voted one of the top ten Hospital tracks of 2016. To cap off the year, Med School included his “Found You” on their “New Blood 2016 LP”. He would link up with Schematic again on the Technique “Summer 2017” LP with “So Long”, as well as a pair of tracks in 2018, “City Life” on Inner City Dance, and “Sculpture” on Hospital’s “Sick Music 2018” LP. The label also released the majestic Polaris tune, “Blue Sky Thinking” on the “Hospitality in the Park 2018” LP, as well as two tunes for their soundtrack to the video game Forza Horizon, “Lessons Learned”, and “Empire”. Now hard at work on a solo EP, fans of lush, evocative drum-n-bass have much to anticipate in the next year and beyond.
