This song is about learning love the hard way.
I did not grow up knowing softness or safety, so when real love finally showed up, I did not know how to receive it. I pushed away the very thing I prayed for, not because he was wrong, but because I was still healing from everything I survived.

This is for anyone who ever ran from something good because the past taught them to expect pain. This is for the people still unlearning survival and trying to believe in real love again.
