One of techno’s true underground heroes, Function steps in with a mix that captures the essence of his club sound: deep, dark, hypnotic and intensely layered. Cerebral yet physical, this set distills over 30 years of experience into a rolling trip that’s as uncompromising as it is immersive.

Recorded in Berlin with a Xone 96, with Function’s signature sound design woven throughout, the mix bridges heavyweight classics and future-shaping material. Kicking off with Nastia Reigel’s massive new remix of his own Disaffected, it showcases three tracks from her upcoming debut album Identity (out September 26 on Infrastructure).

The selection runs wide: from Regis, Rødhâd, LSD, Nørbak, Nastia Reigel, Ignez, Rene Wise, Silent Servant, Alarico and UFO95 to unreleased gems by Filippo Scorcucchi - alongside Function’s own productions, edits and textures. The result is a hypnotic, high-pressure session built for the club’s inner core, designed for maximum immersion and intensity.

A regular at Berlin’s Tresor, RSO and Berghain, he’s also left his mark as a producer with releases on a.r.t.less, Mitsubasa, Frenzy, and Sungate. Through his own imprint Transcend, he champions timeless sounds that cut across genres while keeping the focus on depth and groove.

This SPND20 Mix captures that spirit in motion: a live jam on the Ableton Push 3, weaving unreleased cuts and reworked remixes into a high-energy ride. Rolling drums, jazzy progressions, and waves of delay and echo pull Detroit and Dub techno into dialogue with tribal house and Latin/Cuban/African rhythms. Raw, fluid, and glowing with Volpe’s unmistakable touch - precision layered with freedom, structure fused with soul.

Based in Berlin, Kaan Pirecioglu centers his music on purism and functionality,  crafting techno tracks with a hypnotic and timeless character.  
Kaan’s journey into music production began with his first digital EPs on labels like Platform 22 and Methodical, later evolving with vinyl releases on Schimmer Records and Influenced Records, the latter featuring a remix by Jeroen Search.  
With recent EPs on K S R, Float Records and Primordial State, as well as track support from artists like DVS1, Claudio PRC, Efdemin, and many more, Kaan is emerging as a notable figure in today’s techno scene.
